What can you punish them with? They've acted in an immoral way but they haven't cheated or done anything illegal.

I know they didn't do anything illegal, but morally it was a stinking decision by their chief executive, who's a solicitor so she was well aware of the legal issues.
It just feels so wrong that the club can walk away from this unpunished.
