Anyone been? we are thinking about a week of relaxation there, trouble is finding a nice Hotel that's not full of hen and stag parties and where you can get a decent nights kip.

You won't relax.

It's a shitehole.

Nearby, xabia, Altea, guadelmar, less frenetic .

Your flight out could be full of pissheads so think on.

Where we are, in almeria province, is just up your street. Beautiful beaches, nice villages and cheap too.

Don't go there Steve ffs

There's nothing wrong with Benidorm, if your looking for somewhere relaxing you'll find it or if you want somewhere lively you can find that too

Never mind cheers.

If I find out you ve gone, I ll spank your arse next time I'm down. Might be down in July. That way, I don't have to bump into pross and his faux amour.

God knows what my daughter and fella make of it down there.

Peace

Sticky Vicky is his kind of bird too.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

Can't find many holidays available for Almeria Rich, been looking at Fuengirola though which is the same area I think, don't really want All Inclusive, but it depends on the costs of food and drink outside of the Hotel though, it gets really expensive he you're eating out all week.

Majorca is a better option

If you just avoid Magaluf

I suggest Malaga and area or better still much further west.

Fuengirola or Benalmadena are a much better bet, Marx

Steve.
Listen up.
Serious post.

We are at present one hour from almeria airport or one and hour hour from Murcia .

I can put you in touch with great guy who can rent you two bed villa overlooking sea for 450 per week.

Class complex trice mins from restaurants thst will give you a decent three course for 12 euros. Twelve euros. Beer 3e. Bottle wine in supermarkets for same 5e gets you Rioja.

Hire car 100 per week .

No chavs, no shite no vomit on streets and very family orientated.

Alternatively try Lagos on algarve. Again I have a contact for you. Pm me next week if you like and I ll send you details but frankly go anywhere but Benidorm in August. Madness.

Levante beach is nice. In summer I would imagine much younger crowd goes there?

Fuengirola is a poor resort in all fairness .. better off going more west down the coastline towards Gibraltar.

Further west is estepona. Also grim.

I've been coming to Spain for forty years Steve..

You could try nerja. Flights to Malaga but take villa with pool as water can be murky in high season

Gibraltar is a congested shithole. Reminds me of a grubby version of Bristol .

Try the Hotel Mediterraneo opposite the benidorm palace. Stayed here 17 times over the last 7 years, highly recommended, me & Mrs Algorfajack always went AI & then at midnight it was a 100 yd stroll to a few local bars for a top up & entertainment until 3-4 am.

Top of the rincon area so away from the party animals but close enough if you feel the need to indulge

Haven't been there since last June as we now rent long term in a village just north of torrevieja.

I took my kids to the palm beach hotel/don Jorge apartments. It was spot on. It's family friendly no heavy drinking there good size pool a short walk from beach free coach to the water park clean food good. It's promoted by Thomas cook and comes up on the beach.com. There are a few chavs there but non offensive ones. I'e tattoos, caps wrong way, Lonsdale vests blokes with chains rings and necklaces. But this is a good place for kids. There's a footy court etc the bar is inclusive but no groups and is safe and friendly.
