We reached the fourth round in 2013/14, 2014/15 & 2016/17.
I think we've hacked into the income stream more than any other club in the lower divisions in the last five seasons, yet there bizarrely seems to be an underlying implication in this thread that we don't do and won't do. |  |

Well the Met (not really the police) and Salford City games are pretty much nailed on as TV games. The headline tie on BBC Sport page is Hampton and Richmond vs Owdum. So I would say that is 3 places taken. | |

As for Gateshead I wouldn't be too confident. On paper it is an easier draw but this is the FA Cup. Gateshead underperformed last season, were up for sale as a club and over summer players were told they were going part time. Quite a few left. They were eventually sold and new owners allowed new players to come through. A work colleague is a Gateshead fan and he was not hopeful that the squad would gel, but he is really pleased with the start they have had. He'll be confident that they can create an upset at the ground with one of the worst defensive records over the past year.
So lets see. This competition seems to like us and we like it. Raising our game is the order of the day and lets keep TV away for the first few rounds. | | | |
