Week 3 Results
BRIGHTON 0 SOUTHAMPTON 2
Southampton have now won each of their last three away games against Brighton in all competitions, keeping a clean sheet each time. Brighton have scored just eight goals in their last 14 Premier League home games, and never scored more than once in a match in that run. Nobody got this spot-on, and only mfb_cufc had the outcome. 23 predicted a win for Brighton, with a massive 16 going for a 2-1 in what the weeks most predicted score.
WATFORD 1 WEST HAM 3
Record signing Sebastien Haller scored twice as West Ham consigned Watford to a third consecutive Premier League defeat this term. West Ham are the first club to have had as many as 150 different goal-scorers in the Premier League, following Haller's first goal for the club. Again nobody had this spot-on, but 10 did get the outcome.
.CHARLTON 1 BRENTFORD 0
Charlton moved up to second in the Championship after continuing their unbeaten start to the season. There were 4 who got this spot-on, in the only game to produce a 3 pointer this week, and a further 19 had the outcome.
SHREWSBURY 0 BURTON 0
Shrewsbury and Burton played out a goalless draw in a League One encounter of few clear chances at Montgomery Waters Meadow. Nobody had this spot-on, though 7 did get the outcome.
CHELTENHAM 2 SWINDON 2
Cheltenham twice came from behind to earn a League Two draw against 10-man Swindon. Another game with no 3 pointer, with 4 having the outcome.
LEYTON ORIENT 2 CRAWLEY 3
Substitute Ollie Palmer scored twice in three minutes against his former club as Crawley twice came from behind to win at Leyton Orient. The fifth game this week without a spot-on, and just concordman and BFG got the outcome.
A tough batch of fixtures this week, and with the early season form still settling down, it produced a lot of hard to predict results. Even the U's won today. It was left to Charlton to stop the week from being a complete disaster, as their 1-0 win was the only game to have a 3 pointer, and the 31 points gained from this match was more than half of the total 55 overall this week. So just the four 3 pointers, and sevebalo was the only member to get an outcome, of those who got one, Those 4 points should have been enough for him to be top scorer in this low scoring week, but he had to share the honour, as Blue4U2 also achieved the same score with four outcomes.
In the Premier Just the one outcome for Sector4, but it was enough for him to remain top, as present champ noah4x4 moved to within a point, thanks to having the Charlton 1-0 spot-on. Only one outcome for thrillseeker as well, but he retains the final Charity Shield spot. Not surprisingly sevebalo is the main mover in this division, up three places. At the bottom, firing a blank means Colukev remains there. The only other move has eagledares and RSCOSWORTH swapping places, but both still remain in the relegation places.
In Division One Blue is the colour in this league, with two outcomes maintaining blueeagle at the summit, and Blue4U2 moving up a place into the other automatic spot, with his top scoring effort. After a promising start newbie Lewis_1 drops another place. Having the Charlton 1-0 gives ghughes11 his first spot-on this season, and moves up a place. The other two play-off spots are still held by brightspurs and unitedwhites, as they get two outcomes each. The other member to have the Charlton 1-0 spot-on was oxfcolu, and he moves up seven places as a result of that. With the first 10 game week coming up there is sure to be more changes like that, with everything so tight in this league.
