Odd game that. First 20-25 mins were the poorest we’ve played all season IMO. Both teams showing no real quality. After the first goal Southend just seem to give up and Dale clicked. I don’t remember them keeping a player up field when defending any of our set pieces. It was as if they were happy to keep the score at 0-2. They reminded me of Bradford away last season - really poor side and i’ll be amazed if they stay up based on that showing. I don’t think they had a shot on target til we were 3 up.
3-0 and 3 points a long way from home always welcomed. My only real criticism is that I think we could and should have scored more!

Just seen it on efl highlights and that first goal is not a league 1 goal!
Amazing move including the dummy in centre midfield that was absolutely quality.
Great result and playing like players enjoying having some freedom.
Well done bbm and the entire squad!!!!
I couldn't agree more the build up and execution was excellent but that dummy of Dooley's was sublime.
As for Morley's goal he knew just what he wanted to do.
I don't think the wife will be saying "i see they have lost again" too often
Sometimes there is victory in defeat. It's how you lose that matters. If you have given your all and lose to a better opponent no disgrace there (eh Ole)

The M11 wasnt closed but the A14 was partly closed in one direction. Instead of following the signs (which admittedly were poor,) the driver somehow managed to end up way off the beaten track. He then got a road atlas out and a couple of passengers told him which way to go, which was to go back along the the A14 in the opposite direction and eventually down the M11 and onto the M25, arriving at the ground in the middle of half time. One of the coach stewards seemed to take issue with a fan who was complaining and said it wasnt the drivers fault there were major road works. A part refund wasnt even mentioned.

I'd have thought the club could afford to make some sort or public relations gesture - if not a cash refund, maybe a complimentary ticket each for a future round of the FL Cup!

Can’t wait for the next home game for the usual shouts of
‘Shoot’ (when a midfielder crosses half way) ‘Forward’ when we don’t kick it 60 yards for Hendo to compete aerially for ‘Keepers On’ if a midfielder dare pass it anywhere but forward.

I wonder if southend and huddersfield are struggling this season because of paddy power. Shirts which look like training tops have had some sort of subliminal affect... or maybe they are noth playing sh1te at the mo

Football is good.
Amazing the power of the internet. The Rochdale goal is international news. Lots of debate over the 'Pep' comment. Match of the Day 2 mentioning it being goal of the weekend. All this and games coming up v Man City U21's and the game at Old Trafford. Its great to be a Dale fan at the minute. Thank you BBM - what a turnaround.
Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10
so i think that's 16 passes for the first, 10 for second and 12 for the third, match of the day's 'goal of the weekend' for the first. This my proudest moment since the 15 or so 'keep ball' passes at 2-0 versus Leeds. Great for the lads, this.
