Salford won 6-5 on Penalties tonight against the Exiles.

Hopefully enough to distract them on Saturday.

Remember these games with Eddie Waring and his up and under for the Floodlight Cup on BBC2.
Ooops ... wrong ball sport.

Poll: No half measure either 1 or 2 ?

Well they did play at the Exiles pitch last night which would have been like the Prenton Park pitch.

The north west of England has been very wet again today.

The Peninsula Stadium is likely to be very wet on Saturday. Sadly many surfaces are similar at present and JM is planning changes probably in formation and personnel although his options are limited.

Diagree about limited options.

I would like to see young Fernandes given a chance. Was superb for the U23s on Monday whereas Senior and Poku didn't impress.

I too watched Newport v Salford. Probably the worst game I have seen as a neutral in a long time, albeit the pitch was a disgrace, yet before the game the groundsman was praised. Sharing with rugby is ridiculous, but Newport have no options.

Based on what I witnessed last night, the U's ought to comfortably get three points. But will they turn up if it's wet and soggy underfoot? I doubt it.
