This is terrible news.
Cowling saw it as a “great leveller”. Now the more ambitious clubs can spend and we potentially get left further behind dependent only upon the Academy, whose pipeline seems to be drying up. We dumped seven youngsters last week and our kids got thrashed by Cardiff today. Thankfully there are three teams worse than us, but the threat of relegation remains real. Humes out!
