I’m sorry, but BBM lost us 2 points tonight.
Why were we not making a sub every 2 mins to waste time in the last 6 mins?
Why did we not put Humps or Lund at the back?
Why did Baah come on in the 6th minute of 6 minutes added time?
Beesley was clearly knackered. Why did he not come off?
Players gave everything. Jim is a liability. Lynch had superglue on his feet and was stuck to the line everytime a ball went in the area but redeemed himself with the penalty. The Conor’s both looked handy.
We need some decent defenders that stay fit, but otherwise i think we’ve got half a chance next season.

It’s all hindsight but we really should have been 5-4-1 for those last few minutes, stop the ball coming in from out wide.
So many little things add up over a season but our inability to see and deal with the obvious is the reason we are where we are. |  |

If all of us who know so little about football can figure out the bleeding obvious it makes you wonder why the smart, highly paid, hugely talented people who are proper "football people" don't seem to be able to doesn't it? |  | | |

No and the basic defending is down to them. But the substitutions and inability to prevent those crosses by ensuring we had two wide midfield players as well as the two wingbacks pushed back into natural fullback roles is on the manager. Those are his choices.

As others have said it's basic football knowledge when defending a lead in the dying minutes. Blocking and corner flags. Don't allow them to cross, they won't score. Hitting the ball long towards the corner flags is the easiest way to waste time legally. An extra defender in injury time would have allowed 2 wide players to stop crosses, but having said that we allowed them time to cross all night and have done most of the season, with a few feeble token gestures at stopping them. McNulty did a decent job tonight, but up against Piggott he suffered, as have many better defenders this season. I lay the blame for throwing 2 points away, firmly at the managers door. It was inexcusable. |  | | |
