He needs a spell on loan in league 2 or National league. It is a huge jump for u21 to the Championship. McBurney is the model. He had 40 games or so games at Bradford and loans at Newport and Bristol Rovers. He then had half a season at Barnsley. [Post edited 4 Jun 2021 22:06]

He played in midfield in the u18s like many fullbacks before him, Connor included. But he's seen as a right back going forward. We've recruited at least two new central midfielders for the u23s while releasing the other right backs besides Harry Jones, and the best new scholars play centrally and will be pushed (Cotterill and Lloyd have already trained with the first team this season as u16s). | | | |

I looked Henry up, it says he's valued t 3.15 million. Will we pay that? If we bring a CF in won't we need players who can cross? Or put another way, players who will cross!
I quite like Cullen, probably because he works so hard but he still needs to grow a bit, get more experience. I'd like to see Hamadi play too, never seen him but if he's that good give him a try in a friendly or two, see how he gets on.

Cullen and Al Hamadi neecd 40 games in the lower leagues prefereably with bags of goals. It is no good sitting on anyones bench. Newport Wrexham Yeovil Torquay somewhere like that. It is a very big jump getting 10 mins here and there. There is also Whittaker and possilby Joseph viying for places.
Jack Evans was sadly released by Newport. He needs to get whatever he can like Aaron Lewis who has been to Bristol Rov Linclon and Newport and giving it his best shot. [Post edited 5 Jun 2021 14:48]

Yeah Bidwell is our best crosser but he is only pretty much the only one who bothers getting high up the pitch too cross. Other players seemed to be crossing from deeper positions. If we have a proper CF we need crosses he can attack while facing goal.
Roberts would cross but he's not as good at it. We need proper wide players with pace who can get in behind, but that means having a midfielder who has the vision to put the passes through. Dhanda does it but he's too lightweight and gets bullied out.
The whole team needs looking at and built again, it's unbalanced. | |

What would Routledge accomplish behind a striker? He isn't a creative passer or finisher.
Done well for us leading the line with his movement in behind but doesn't beat his man with the ball often enough to play out wide either. |
