Might be a good call for this Saturday at least. The group know and respect him.

Decent shout Daniel. Just hope Taylor comes nowhere near us! Scuse and Emballton with Gerks back as goalkeeper coach?
Next Manager on 18:31 - Feb 21 with 10175 views | wessex_exile | Agree, for now I'd go for Cole Skuse as caretaker player-manager, at least we know the dressing room is behind him.

Next Manager on 18:53 - Feb 21 with 10144 views | ghughes11 | The BBC Commentary on iFollow at the weekend mentioned that Bloomfield credits Richard Thomas for the good set-piece work from this season. Considering Thomas was an external appointment that Bloomfield did not choose, I can see him being the next internal appointment at least in the interim. Lee Harrison on the other hand will be straight off! Can now add Bloomfield to the list of Lamberts that have shown us no loyalty!

Would we have to have his "bruvver" as part of any deal. They do seem inseparable.

Agree Durham The Portsmouth local paper claiming he is likely on his way but personally not sure RC will take that route. Can see Ball and Embaelton in the box for Saturday maybe with input from Skuse
Next Manager on 21:54 - Feb 22 with 9667 views | GOSBTS | Cowley brothers would be an excellent appointment in my opinion and would help turn the loss of Bloomfield into an exciting opportunity for the U's, with the hope that it turns out how it has done so far for Brighton when we lost Potter but got De Zerbi, who is arguably better. I think it could be a great fit. Like Lincoln, Colchester has fantastic potential but a far more patient fanbase than he had at either Huddersfield or Portsmouth. For once they wouldn't be under time pressure to deliver as long as the product on the pitch improved. I'll be at the game on Saturday Godwilling and it'd help there be an air of excitement if they were to be in the stands. Make it happen Robbie! [Post edited 22 Feb 2023 21:55]

RS - keep the faith. EHW will look after the side for the next two games then DC will take over and secure our league status and lead us to promotion next season. Up the U's

Ben Garner who is he? I have just looked him up. Absolutely hopeless. We simy must do better than him. This is a disaster why can't we have Danny Cowley. Very disappointing. Up the U's Delighted that Wyscum and QPR lost. [Post edited 25 Feb 2023 23:40]

Next Manager on 00:24 - Feb 26 with 9094 views | durham_exile | The more I read about the managerial situation the more annoyed I become. What is the point of investing in the team and assembling a decent squad to then waste this opportunity on a failed manager like Garner. I sincerely hope that this is purely newspaper talk. If we are to take the team forward then we must have a manager capable of ensuring that this is achieved. Danny Cowley must be offered that opportunity. Make it happen. Up the U's

Morning Durham - from what I’ve read and heard we can’t have Danny Cowley because he’s not interested in the job, simple as that. Maybe delusions of grandeur, but perhaps as an ex-League 1 manager he has no desire to drop back to League 2 and start again? Ben Garner has a pretty long and decent career behind him as a football coach, and I know my Robin next door neighbour (who worked for Swindon same time as Ben) rates him very highly. I think, if the paper/ bookie talk is to be believed, he’ll be a good fit at Col U.

Wessex I see that Oxford have sacked Karl Robinson today. Perhaps Cowley will go there. I accept what you say but feel we are in danger of making the wrong appointment. The last two defeats have really hurt us and Saturday a difficult game at Bradford. I suppose part of me is annoyed that MB has walked away. After the recent improvement in our form there was so much anticipation that at last we had found the new Parky. 14 managers in 14 years tells its own sorry tale. Let us hope that the recruitment process results in the right person in charge. At present I am not convinced. Up the U's
