New Metal Fencing At St Mary’s 19:43 - Jul 3 with 6442 views | UTS1885 | From what I could see from northam bridge, there is a load of new fencing running around northam and kingsland at least. Lots of gates, I presume this is something to do with the new hospitality or away fans being moved ? Or both. Looks like away fans have their own fenced off walkway that runs parallel to the railway line. [Post edited 3 Jul 19:49]

One thing that will spark confrontation is away fans walking down a fenced off corridor behind the ~Kingsland and then what about on the bridge

Hello, I currently have a season ticket in Block 30 and I am eager to know if the away fans will have access from their area after the game to walk up past the bike sheds, past my block and to the the railway footbridge next season? Thank you. From: Supporter Services Sent: Apr 18, 2024 at 12:30 PM Subject: RE: Away fans seating 24/25 season Hi Thanks for your email. Away fans will be directed via Melbourne Street next season. They won’t be prevented access but we’ll be encouraging them away from the stadium through the industrial estate. If there’s anything else I can do for you, please let me know. In the meantime, thanks for your continued support. Kind regards Jacqui Campbell Supporter Services Southampton FC

I’d love nothing more than to give the club my money instead of one of the pubs in the city centre but until the quality of the food and drink is raised at the stadium then why should I? The prices charged at the stadium don’t reflect the quality of the product. When this is rectified I would consider using it.

The prices are a problem, what are they like in other grounds?
New Metal Fencing At St Mary’s on 11:32 - Jul 7 with 3497 views | sledger | prices are expensive wherever you go bar one, unbelievably last time we were in the premier league man united were charging £3 pound a pint to encourage supporters to the ground,so fair play to them, dont know if thats still the case.

Have you tried food from one of the food & beverage kiosks around the perimeter of the stadium?

Not personally, I have food before I leave home, but my Great Nephew had some fries from the Kwackers stall by the bike sheds. The fries were served in a small polystyrene cup and were cold. They cost £3. I had a £6.90 pint of Kingfisher lager last season in the ground that was as flat as a turd and warm. I don’t mind paying the money but when it’s not up to standard I decline. They be better off selling cans. Long shelve life, recyclable and if served at the correct temperature a perfect drink. But knowing SFC they’d probably charge £5 a can.

Fries/chips are always a rip off for what you get! The burgers, wraps etc from those external kiosks are very nice, certainly not cheap (nor extortionate) but very tasty. I’ve had the rose cider which was either from a can or bottle, again very nice. I’m sure with the extra kiosks next season there’ll be more choice and hopefully quality. It’s already certainly better than a few years ago and still improving.

New Metal Fencing At St Mary’s on 17:28 - Jul 7 with 3351 views | LondonSaint76 | My memory has already been proved wrong on here once today but here goes - wasn’t the issue of lousy catering brought up with the club not that long ago, maybe at one of the public forums? I seem to remember the response from the club was that there wasn’t a lot they could do due to the fact they were tied into a contract with the current on-site caterers but once that ended things would improve. With all that is going on perhaps that time has now come so hopefully we will see improvements. I think the price issues could possibly be because you have the club looking to make a decent margin on the catering, that might be forcing prices up. Be interesting to know what margins they expect to make compared to Subways, BK’s & breweries expect from franchisees / publicans, ect…

I Quite often get food from the kiosks outside the Kingsland stand, it’s always very hot and of a good quality. I guess you’re always going to get a few bad experiences like with most things .
