Not just as a result of the debacle of last nights "Pro Boxing Fight" but more in general with how the quality and integrty of Professional Boxing has nose dived over the last 20 years, it's been so refreshing to have UFC enter the ring!

Apparently, it actually started 30 years ago, but I'd suggest it's come to the fore in the last 10 years, if not slightly more.

The point is, that it's a brutal sport, whereby the partipants have a much higher level of comabt knowledge and are much more capable of taking "shots".

In summary, a much better viewer experience (except for the wrestling) and whilst I don't condone violence, I love to watch a good fight.

Speaking of which, looking forward to watching the Jon Jones fight, in a bit.

Usual caveat. Fighting is bad, violence is not the answer, please don't cancel me.

I've got the Power.

Being centre right, I don’t do cancelling. Glad you brought this sport up and your level headed approach to it.

However, unlike boxing, I do have a problem with UFC. Increasingly, the proliferation of street violence being seen on social media seems to be influenced by the fighting in the UFC ring and human beings are brutally assaulted and injured. Body slamming and the beating on the floor to a defenceless victim is not something easily withstood by people outside that arena.

You’d be entitled to say boxing has a similar influence and it does, but the Queensbury rules aspect of that, by and large, means that once a person has been incapacitated they are not then beaten to a pulp. Yes it does happen, sadly there are some psychos out there, but to me UFC encourages the kind of onslaught outside the ring that boxing does not.

As a country we are far too lenient on street violence. I love boxing but Courts need to correlate not just the act of violence but how it’s related to media influence.

Jon Jones fighting a 42 year old Stipe Miocic who hadn't fought for four years and hadn't won in five was kind of reminiscent of that shitty Tyson/Paul fight to be honest.

I'm a big fan of MMA but it's starting to get tiresome seeing so many fighters who aren't UFC level somehow getting on the shows. Also, I could do without seeing Trump's stupid fking face at almost every PPV event.

Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.
