Week 21 results EVERTON 0 NOTTINGHAM FOREST 2 Forest ended the year on a high by beating toothless Everton to move up to second in the Premier League. Only noah4x4 and Lewis_1 got this spot-on, and a further 9 had the outcome. FULHAM 2 AFC BOURNEMOUTH 2 Dango Ouattara came off the bench to get an 89th minute equaliser for Bournemouth at Fulham as both sides took their unbeaten runs to seven Premier League games. Only burnsieespana and Jorash63 had this spot-on, and another 4 got the outcome. SWANSEA CITY 2 LUTON TOWN 1 Myles Peart-Harris' 91st minute winner saw Swansea claim a dramatic victory over 10-man Luton, who scored with their only shot on target. A massive 10 got this spot-on, and a further 7 had the outcome. BOLTON WANDERERS 3 LINCOLN CITY 0 Jay Matete scored twice in the second half as Bolton scored with their only three shots on target to beat 10-man Lincoln. Nobody had this spot-on, but 19 did get the outcome. LEYTON ORIENT 2 CAMBRIDGE UNITED 0 Orient got the better of relegation-threatened Cambridge to extend their unbeaten run of league matches to six. An enormous 11 got this spot-on, in what was the weeks most predicted score, and another 10 had the outcome. FLEETWOOD TOWN 1 HARROGATE TOWN 1 Harrogate goalkeeper James Belshaw saved a last-minute penalty to secure a draw and deny Pete Wild victory in his first game in charge of Fleetwood. A sublime 5 had this spot-on, and one more got the outcome. After a number of tough weeks recently, it was good for the years final week to have the best 6 game week of the season so far. It produced an amazing 30 spot-ons in total. It goes to show what can happen when the "good things" actually come good. It was mainly thanks to the wins for Swansea and Orient both having double figure 3 pointers. It is the first time I can ever rembering that happening in the same week before. With so many 3 pointers I would expect someone to have a good week, and we did have not one but two. They were thrillseeker and bwildered, who each had three 3 pointers, the wins for Swansea and Orient and the Fleetwood 1-1, and two outcomes, to give them both a brilliant 11 points, and a share of being the weeks top scorer. Six members did well to have two 3 pointers, with best also having two outcomes, to give them all an excellent 8 points. They were ghughes11 and concordman, who both got the wins for Swansea and Orient, unitedwhites, who had the Orient 2-0 and the Fleetwood 1-1, and finally Sector4, who got the Swansea 2-1 and the Fleetwood 1-1. The other two were RSCOSWORTH and Tropical_U, who each had the wins for Swansea and Orient, and one outcome, to give them both a decent 7 points. Happy Cup All the details for the Quarter-finals are now available on the separate Happy Cup thread. U'sual Champions League After today's results we finally know who this seasons 12 qualifiers are. The current holder blueeagle qualifies automatically. The other 11 are the top points scorers over the two divisions. They are:- mfb_cufc, Daniel, thrillseeker, bwildered, basher2010, noah4x4, Tropical_Us, Jorash63, Lewis_1, unitedwhites and Sector4. There is a new format in the UEFA Champions League this season, and the Round of 16 is starting later on Tuesday 4th March. This competition will start on that date, and all details will be on a separate thread in about the middle of February. In the Premier Having the Swansea 2-1 spot-on helped blueeagle to increase his lead by a point, as mfb_cufc got four outcomes, and was one of only two who failed to have a 3 pointer in this division. A solid 5 pints for Daniel, that included getting the Orient 2-0 spot-on, keeps him in third, but only on the most 3 pointer rule, from thrillseeker, who moved up a place, and back into contention, after his top scoring performance. Three outcomes for basher2010, and he drops a place. By virtue of posting first, unitedwhites[ moves above Sector4, and into the top half for the first time since Week 7. More importantly they both confirmed their qualification for the U'sual Champions League after their excellent weeks. The rest of the division is all about avoiding relegation, and after they all had decent weeks, the only significant change has ghughes11 moving out of the bottom three once again, at the expense of oxfcolu, as they continue with the hokey cokey. In Division One The lead has changed hands once again, as the top scoring performance from bwilidered has taken him to the summit for the fifth different time this season. A decent week for noah4x4 but last weeks leader has to settle for the other automatic spot this week. A decent week also for Tropical_Us, but he drops to third. With a solid 5 points each for Jorash63 and Lewis_1, and it is the former who continues to remain ahead on the most 3 pointer rule, in fourth and fifth. A decent week for wessex_exile keeps him the final play-off place. The rest of the league remains the same as last week, with a decent week from durham_exile keeping him within a point of the play-offs. THE TABLES (150 out of 280 played) (Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post) Week 22 Fixtures 10 games picked by this weeks guest BFG.
