News from Halifax Town today as well.
The local council have agreed to sell the Shay to the owner of Huddersfield Giants rugby league club.
They’re relocating to the Shay for a few years from 2026 so three clubs will be based there.
In return he’s renewing the pitch and upgrading the floodlights and other facilities.
Halifax Town fans are angry as apparently there’s an EFL rule that member clubs can only groundshare with one other team and so this could potentially block promotion for them.
