Think the automatic renew stops them leaving on a free, until the contract runs out naturally.
That way the club can hold out for a fee from any interested parties.

I'm certain you're right, if the club have an option on another year, they can activate if they wish.

I just don't understand Peterboro.
Lisbie has just signed on a three year deal from Braintree.

What is the attraction of London Road.
They have a shocking record of developing young players.
They are a shocking club with owner and management to boot.

Loathe entirely.

Probably got a bolt on that if any bids over a certain value they are passed on to the player, also can also be sold in winter transfer deadline.
Keeps all parties happy, club ,player and not forgetting the agent .

Poll: No half measure either 1 or 2 ?

Very harsh

I like the Peterborough business model. They take a gamble on young players especially from non league normally paying decent fees to the selling club, develop a player and then sell on for a profit.

Players such as Szmodics, Poku & Kent have fared very well after playing for them.

Yes, a few don't work out like Ihionvien but that wasn't a surprise to me as he never did much to impress me.

We could have tried to get Lisbie but we are never prepared to pay a fee and gamble on young upcoming players

I do have the same dislike of Ferguson & Fry but like their owner Darragh MacAnthony

What else can Peterboro offer - probably more money and a higher standard of football

At one time thought we were trying to emulate the same model getting semi Premiership rejects in and then selling but that is not DC's model plus we no longer have the mass of Academy staff.

Very interesting about Lisbie Who would accept it if U's managed to get him back on a season long loan deal... once we have the new owners in place???

Time for my medication?, nurse???

Bit surprised by this one. Probably not the most difficult player to replace though and I do wonder if he might have found himself further down the pecking order again depending on who we sign/retain in that position. Also he has a young baby and might prefer them to grow up in Ireland. All the best to him, he gave his all whenever he played and scored some important goals too.

Yep, very sad to see Fiacre go. From his press interview, Cork City boss Ger Nash said Kels has "had offers and opportunities from clubs in England, but he’s desperate to be here, and to play for Cork City". Maybe the current uncertainty over the takeover was a factor (though Kels probably knows far more than we do), but it sounds more like a spiritual homecoming, and with a young family, I can't fault him on that.

Big chance for Ben Goodliffe to re-stablish himself in the first team and score the winner versus Oldham when we play them!

Poll: What was the main reason for the Col U win versus Carlisle?
