His linked in page which is private was updated Tuesday evening. Still Risca put straight another case of falsehood. Why can’t Swansea fans just be happy 🤷🏻♂️ Or the keyboard clowns turn up at a game they’ve been threatening to for a month😂

I am sure we all want the best for the club, but in reality atm position we are in , and we could still be in a fight huh? even thoughwe dont look a relegation team.

Nor did Norwich and Oxford today. No matter what the club says we need a RB and a winger in January.

Ive not seen a lot of football today, been making a pig of myself, buts odds on someclubs in the drop area are from now on going to kick on, atm we look lacking in the final third and some defensive positions and midfield, despite who we have! I just hope we are not one of the clubs that do an Inoussa like today.

I understand making a big fuss about Galbraith and Marko, but dearie me what a mess that transfer window has created and now he's got a promotion. All of a sudden our current contrived league position means beating Oxford would be the most crucial points of the season OXFORD!!!

In fairness, I think the previous management team are the biggest reason we’re so low in the table. Challenge for Matos is to get more out of this group of players and I think he’ll do it with ease. Cullen scores that open goal yesterday and we’ve got half a chance of a result at the prospective champions

Widell, Inoussa are going to be great assets. There was a time we didn't have anyone of any note to moan about. The average hit rate across the EFL for positive transfers is 38%.

For me the jury is out on the summer window currently there is no way it could be deemed as excellent. Galbraith is excellent, Stamenic is very good Burgess is hot and cold and has major flaws in his game. Others have serious potential but have to deliver on a regular basis, currently that is not the case, hopefully with more game time they will improve. But up until now the facts are Sheehan couldn't get a tune out of the majority of the new signings. Matos came in looked at the squad and said that we need to create a team, against Coventry only three of the new signings started [Galbraith, Stamenic and Burgess] plus we are in a relegation battle. Last season we finished top half so are the signings better than we had last season, Galbraith apart I'm not so sure. But as I say for me the jury is out and time will tell, I really hope Keith is right.

Three started, but four came off the bench. Seven players out of sixteen. Not suggesting it’s coming from anyone in particular, but there seems to be a kind of undercurrent of wanting to discredit Adam Worth because he aggravated people on here in the past. I hope I’m seeing something that’s not there, but I do get that feeling. Sheehan couldn’t get a tune out of them because he overachieved last season and got the job off the back of it. It’s not just an improvement in results under Matos, you can see ideas he’s trying to implement, we’re more decisive transitioning from back to front and aren’t devoid of ideas as soon as we reach the final third

Take the individual out of the equation. The summer window was heavily hyped and I bought into it. I really expected with 10? new signings we would be top 10 as a minimum. With three starters and most of the rest squad players personally I expected more. If you are happy with the return on the summer outlay plus the financial commitment for future years that's fine. But for me I'm not convinced either way. Climb to mid table and we are back where we started, push for promotion and the club has done well, remain in a relegation battle and there is only the club to blame.

Agree with most of this. If these players are that good then they will get us to at least top 6 by the end of the season (we are only 10 points away right now, with 23 games (69 points) to play for.

Thats why I say let's wait and see, but currently there is nothing to get excited about. Certainly nothing to give someone a "promotion".

Taking the individual out of the equation is exactly what I don’t think has been happening. I didn’t mean from you specifically. As far as I’m concerned Sheehan wasn’t getting the best out of his players and the recruitment team are taking a bit of undeserved flak for that. I think we’ll see a lot more from Matos. By my reckoning, we signed eleven players including Widdell who was technically signed earlier but joined in the summer. Of those, Galbraith is our best player, Burgess and Stamenic start every game. Widdell is now at the point where he starts most games and comes on when he doesn’t. Inoussa and Idah get the occasional start but come on every game. Then you’ve got the four loans, three of whom I’d have no problem starting if we had injuries, Santos who is cover and Wales who is one for the future. If I were to criticise, we spent all summer chasing that elusive striker and potentially let better options than Idah slip through our fingers. Benson hasn’t impressed me. Other than that, when did we last have a window that good? We were never going to sign eleven players and have seven or eight of them starting every game. Edit - I’m not happy, I just think blame is going in the wrong direction. If Bob Bradley or Michael Duff had this squad and got the results and performances Sheehan did, they’d get 100% of it [Post edited 28 Dec 2025 8:00]

I'm not sure that it's the supply that is lacking as much as the cutting edge. There is no one apart from Vipotnik scoring and Vipotnik is not an out and out finisher. He has been good at creating a bit of space and getting off a rocket shot. But, there is no one else even getting close to balls in the box.

What is important, is that summer business at the momet is looking like it hasn’t put together a squad that is able to be competitive in the Championship. We are halfway through the season and are in the bottom five. How on earth can anyone say that the summer window was successful when this is a simple fact and we could be relegated. Yes this could turn around and we could move up the the table, but here and now it has not been a successful window. [Post edited 28 Dec 2025 10:03]

From my point of view Would this squad be challenging the top six with Klopp managing them? Would they be challenging the top six with Bradley managing them? Extreme examples, but I’d say Sheehan is more at the Bradley end of the scale. Of course, we’re nowhere near where we want to be, but I’d blame the football management more than the recruitment team. Fair enough if you disagree, but we wouldn’t have seen an upturn in results and performances if that wasn’t the case.

so you ignore the Sheehan factor He faiked ti get a tune out of the squad this season. Even with 9 out of the 11 he finished with last season he steufgled to get us looking anything like we did as ww finished last season . Players like Key,Franco,Cabango have gone backwards and they were not summer signings . Yes given our apparent better window for many years therw was an expextation amongst the fanbase, some more cautious than others. Since the arrival of Matos we look a different side it is unfair to judge the quality of the summer signings bases om our current league positiin we are where we are due to the coaching....signs were there preaeason but many fans dusxounted the poor performances against lower league opposition. Yes the club is to blame ....for appointinf Sheehan to the full time role. Of the signings,Galbraith has proven to be a "gem" now he is being given opportunity Widell shows some promising signs as as Stamenic. Idah I believe was a signing pushed more by O Dea rather than the "scouting" team. We had "successful" windows in the past where not all of the inciming players were hits....including during Luadrups time. Lets wait until the end of the season before writing these players off...lets see how they progress under Matos...
