With 2 key players gone and no 1st choice goalkeeper (though Tom Smith has shown promise tbf) we really need to get our finger out with signing players. Thankfully we've held on to most of our decent players and we've got the youngest Lisbie so hopefully he'll prove to be as good as his 2 older brothers.. |  |

I did try to warn you! They averaged over 6,600 in the National League last season and have the feel good factor after winning it. With the signings they're making I can see them being right up there.
Disappointed that Read has gone, at 26 he should be coming into his prime. He wasn't great the season before last though and he wasn't even a starter until Perry's injury. If we do manage to get Barbrook in then I'm not sure we'll miss him all that much. Hope it goes well for him at York and that moving away from Payne doesn't see his standards drop off. | |

I would be very pleased if we could get Barbrook on a season loan also a strong physical box to box player like Osama Ashley would be good. |
Harry Anderson, Teddy Bishop, Makise Evans, Samuel Kuffour, Kaion Lisbie, Alfie Newby & Jack Paynare are all contracted until next year so they're ok.
Dominic Gape was released as presumably are JK Gordon & Jack Baldwin who didn't feature much last season and spent the tail end loaned out at Rochdale & Eastleigh respectively.
The others out of contract/released didn't really feature for us and I assume the rest of the team either have longer contracts or are in negotiation for new contracts and/or still playing for us until we hear otherwise?
As it stands we need to replace Macey (1st choice GK), Read, Gape (both MF) and Kyreece Lisbie (FW) and see who stays on with us next season out of the players who are negotiating contracts with us. Tucker, our best player last season, is also under contract. Also Williams, Terry, Akande and Perry. We took up extension options on Payne, Anderson, Bishop and Sam Kuffour Jr
Gape was indeed released along with Gordon, Baldwin and, in a way, Flanagan too
Still waiting for Iandolo, Vincent-Young, Edwards, Hunt, Tovide and Smith to decide on their offers.
Feel like all will be a lot clearer come the 1st of July. | |

I am just a little concerned that we haven’t heard anything from the players negotiating new contracts yet. Read obviously got a better offer and cleared off I would think Ellis Landolo would attract interest from other clubs as would Owura Edwards KVY had a good season too but has had injury problems in the past so maybe not so sought after.I think Rob Hunt and Tom Smith are out of contract too.
I am not so concerned with losing Lisbie if we can keep Edwards and yes we have the youngest Lisbie coming through.Flanagan will need replacing at CB as well as the on loan players who left.
Up top we only have Samson and Williams . Samson is always keen to get a move and has been sought after in the past.

To be honest, considering we’re only just into July, I’m quite happy with business so far. No. 1 and no. 9 still might need a bit of work though. However, if Samson can fully realise and live up to his genuine potential, maybe less so for the latter. | |
