Sharpe left Manchester United this summer after the club included him on its official released list.
The winger joined United from Derby County in 2021 before signing his first professional contract the following year.
He progressed through the academy and later represented the club at Under-21 level.
However, Malachi Sharpe had already started assessing opportunities elsewhere before his Old Trafford departure became official.
Burnley previously handed him a trial in March.

"I completely understand why the increase in the streaming price has come as a surprise, particularly when compared with last season. The main reason is that the new Sky broadcasting agreement means we are no longer permitted to stream league matches to supporters in the UK. As a result, the only audience we can now stream to is our relatively small number of overseas supporters, where streaming is still permitted.
Unfortunately, the cost of producing a live stream remains largely the same whether it's watched by hundreds of supporters or just a handful. Prior to the Sky deal, the larger audience helped to spread those costs, but that is no longer possible. We therefore had to introduce pricing that more accurately reflects the true cost of providing the service if we are to continue offering it at all.
We certainly didn't make this decision lightly, and we genuinely appreciate that it represents an increase for supporters such as yourself. We do, however, believe that £7 per match still represents good value for being able to watch the team live from the other side of the world.
In terms of the highlights and full replays, this is something that we are planning on continuing this season and into the future." | |
