| Burnley Reflection 22:01 - Nov 3 with 8148 views | bluenwhite10 | 2 points dropped today against a very poor effortless Burnley side. In the 1st 20mins we were in such control against a side that gave us so much space to play in. In the last couple of home games Derby and Swansea we have played lots of pretty one touch football around the box which has paid off, but tonight none of it come off. Kone, Saito, Kamara, Vale and Kone looked well off the pace tonight. Gifted an equalising goal from some poor keeping. I will keep an open mind Obikwu but that miss was poor and after tonight and Charlton away he does not look up to the standard. I have seen us lose games like this in the past, we didn’t so that is the positive to take away. Edwards again MOM Come on you R’s | | | | |

| Burnley Reflection on 08:16 - Nov 4 by nix | Kemper is carrying an injury and has played a lot since coming back from a fairly long injury. Chair has had a succession of injuries for the past two seasons and you think that both of them should have started? Righto… You’re right that we have to be more realistic about whether we’re going to get in the play offs. Our first eleven has a very decent chance but as in the past injuries are killing us. But we don’t have some divine right to be in the playoffs. I still think if we manage it we’ll be punching above our financial weight. However I am not writing them off every time we don’t get three points or toasting us with champagne and assuming it’s in the bag every time we do. It’s a long old season and we’re still within touching distance. |
It’s not rocket science. With Varane and Vale in midfield, we will continue to slide down the table. With Kamara, Edwards and Madsen in there, we will kick on. Also desperately need JCS, Chair, Poku and Burrell back in the side. Season entirely dependant upon availability. Saito, Smyth and Kone were really poor against Burnley, Distinct lack of quality and intensity. Obikwu at least looks mobile. It’s a start. | | | |
