You get a better picture with these plugins (such as Torrent Stream and Sopcast) than you do with Flash.
I have never had a problem with either (on Windows XP sp3). You can always uninstall them if they create a problem.
However, I would have thought that a lot of workplace machines wouldn't let you install them, as they are 'mini-programs', whereas with Flash you are using a pre-installed program and the browser. |  |
