Transfer Deadline Day Thread 17:43 - Aug 30 with 55333 views08olesen

That nervous day for every R's fan has arrived.I hope we get another striker soonl because of potential injuries to Aj. but my biggest fear is that we will pick up a 30+ year old player becuase he is one of harrys mates (Jenas) who is injury prone and on high wages!

Poll: Who will the other play off

Said we are going to play through Carroll and how important he'll be....suggest Henry won't get as much time or maybe we,ll switch to one up front

Krancjar is a fantastic player,if he can stay fit we will have one hell of a midfield.

Don't think it bodes well for Faurlin though on the downside

Has the Krancjar signing been confirmed? If so we have a midfield to die for.

Harry said it was done, so that's probably good enough

A decent supply line for Austin. Got to be favourites for the championship with this squad.

Sessegnon to West Brom is an odd one. Sunderland to go down, I think.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

How does AJ feel now knowing we were willing to out him ? Does he carry on running round like a loony or does his attitude change a bit, I think mine would slightly.
I can't see it being his decision to go, Rangers must have accepted the offer for some reason.

I dunno, premier league football at his old club, he might have requested the move and we let him go for discussions to keep him happy. We may never know, but his not the sort to play badly for the sake of it.

It's all a conspiracy. We told him that he could go because he's very fond of Palace and playing for them in the Prem is a great opportunity. But as he was leaving Harry had a quick word with someone and they popped round and let the air out of all of AJs tires.

"Such a shame that he couldn't make it there on time, triffic player etc."

All in all. Great loan signings.

All we need now is William Gallas as back up for CD and Carlton Cole as back up striker and I think we will have cracked it.

I still think we haven't heard the last of Defoe.Otherwise why was AJ hanging around Selhurst Park?

I put Carlton cole in the same bracket as Cameron Jerome... and that bracket is 'fvckin useless'. The only reason a striker gets billed as 'great at holding the ball up' is if he can't score enough goals to justify his position. personally, I don't want him, and I'd rather not have the sort of team that hoofs it up to someone who is good at holding the ball up - I would rather have the kind of team that attacks down the flanks and either pings decent crosses in, or turns inside and runs at defenders.

Zamorra, Jerome, cole, crouch, heskey can fvck right off!

Just my opinion anyway :D I have rather strong feelings on the subject.

I said yesterday we have been lucky in some of our games to get wins, we were good but not good enough for promotion but that I think that Harry can crack it.

These 3 loans plus hopefully an out of contract striker like Carlton Cole will mean we will not only go up but if we can keep a few of the loans we will go up with a core of a team capable of doing the business in the premiership.

More optimisitic than ever.

He knows his stuff does Harry!

Nice one. Come on you Rrrrr'ssss

Fair enuff but i think BZ is an option no longer and Harry although he likes his teams to play always likes that option when the game requires it, which is why I mentioned Calton Cole.
Doesnt matter anyway, we are going to go up!

Gawd, I bloody hope so. I am so pleased with how our philosophy has changed since HR took over, I know its a bit of a tried and tested model with harry signing ex-players, but its working out well for us thus far.

Come on you R's!

So lots of things didn't happen in the end
Vaz Te didn't go to Norwich(as far as we know).Defoe not gone to Spam or Stoke.Rhodes blanked Wigan.Hull didn't come in for Jenas.Hoilett didn't tempt Hughes. No sign of Crouchy.
Scope for some cheeky loan bids methinks.

Yes, I agree about the Defoe thing. I reckon we had a deal of some sort lined up but it fell through at the last minute so we scuppered the Johnson move. Still a loan possibility I suppose.

I'd put money on it.He can see what's happening at LR,some of his mates are there, bound to want some of that.Sprat to catch a mackerel tactic.

These signings today we would embrace even if we were in the premiership.

Still miss Taarabt, hope he shows his class and becomes the great he could be.

Bye bye Traore!
