Just been having a kip so I can be eagled eyed later on
The hype is incredible
I really think that if England can avoid defeat in Brisbane they'll be fine to win 3-1 or 3-0
If the Aussies get momentum it could be trouble

Looking forward to Max's daily meltdowns and predictions of doom if England don't score 400 runs or take ten wickets on every day of every Test.

We should be favourites to win this series.

Obviously the Aussies will give 100% but I fear their injury prone stars will not last the 5 tests. Already we hear Watson is playing but isn't likely to bowl, Clarke is like a tube of smarties with all the pills he has to pop and Harris the bowler is totally incapable of lasting a test series.

I think KP will be a star man for us, plus Bell will be in the runs.

The weather may play a part as well.

All the hype about Broad getting the bird off the crowd will not matter. These are Pro sportsmen and in this era they love being the centre of attention/ controversy.

Forget the twenty twenty,s, forget the one day game, nothing beats a five test series between England and Australia. When I was a kid I would get up at 5in the morning to listen to it on the radio.
Fantastic to be able to see it ball by ball. Can,t wait.

Typical tense first day.Little bit of a stand at the moment between Johnson and Hadden.
England have done supremely well, but need to break this partnership soon ,to really ram home the advantage.Have a feeling this could develop into a really big partnership however.

yes, well that was always going to happen with the 'old' ball and a shirtfront. Nothing for it but to keep grinding away. Geoffrey Boycott was driving me mad saying...'oo, England negative bowling, letting it all get away from them now' :(

Boycott is ruining that show, he's so out of touch with the modern game it beggars belief he is still on the airwaves.

AWESOME from England!!! Broad superb but all the bowlers did their bit and were very economical.

The more stick you give Broad the more he delivers the goods.

Tremlett looks fit again, big credit to the backroom staff.

permitted myself a wry smile at the size of Tremlett's shirt - Shane Warne said if it were him he would have gone for an even smaller one!

Good start to the morning, sixth wicket for broad but Haddin still batting well. Will he get his century? No, run out as I speak!

That cook wicket came from nowhere, we had no trouble up until then, got to aim for min 400 on this pitch

Having followed England cricket very closely for 35 years this is the most disappointed I have been
Totally blown away. Very average batting and yes the Aussies bowled well but this pitch is a batsman's paradise

Aussies with their tales up could easily win the series now

That collapse was like watching Hick,Thorpe, Hussain, Lamb, Robin Smith and Maynard playing their worst shots!!!

Very pleased that Carberry made 40, I really think he could have some big innings' in him.
