Just an interesting statistic as there was a worry if the U's didn't stay up, more would gravitate from the WHCS to Portman Road on any given Saturday. I suspect there will be no loss of attendees from Portman to Carrow, even if they are up in the Prem now. Well, the Canaries will sell out every game, so hardly an easy ticket that will be to nick.

Oh good grief, no Wessex. There was just an angst about how The U's attendance would be affected if a drop to League 2. Was merely pointing out that the Tractors gained 3000 per over one year. All good. Not wrong board here. Not like we get a lot of new threads during the summer. It was idle observation from the EADT.

Don't worry Pete, t'was just a wry observation based on the frequency with which they crop up in your posts - hence the 'innocent as an angel' smiley. Ironically, I don't think our attendances would have suffered much, if at all, if we'd been relegated...indeed, given the geographical spread of League 2, and there are some very well-supported teams in that division, I wouldn't have been surprised if our attendances had actually increased.

Right, see my one line post above. I attended Ippy with Haps to see Nodge win 5-1. Context. The coppers ushered Canaries fans out. I'd never seen anything like that before. I just happen to have no ill will towards Canaries. And that Boro game, that's another story. A long drive and train ride for the northeasterners. Surprised how many made it down for that 3-3. Happy and I were going to attend ITFC v Derby, but the week got complicated so we didn't. Tractors 2-1 Rams as it turned out. edit: My birthplace Ostrava played MBoro back in the day in Europe, so was fascinated with seeing them in Ipswich. [Post edited 6 Jun 2015 20:17]

I had heard that one of them researched their family tree, only to find most of their relatives were still living in it.
