Ray Crawford's first v Leeds Best opponent : Forgotten the name, but Brentford's keeper and back four in a 1-1 draw at LR in our promotion to the championship season. We absolutely battered them and could have had ten but they resisted magnificently.

The Brentford goalkeeper was Stuart Nelson. He had a good game against us two seasons ago as well when playing for Yeovil, who he is still playing for at the age of 38.

Lewis Dunk's goal against Sheffield Wednesday in the 2016 Playoff Semi-Final, second leg. We had missed out on promotion by goal difference to Middlesborough at the Riverside on the last day of the season - somewhat unjustly many would say. After that heartbreak, we had four injuries during the first leg at Hillsborough and ended up running out of substitutes, ending the game with ten men and remarkably coming away only 2-0 down. There was a big rallying cry by all involved at the club ahead of the second leg at the Amex. I left work at 3pm in Coventry and hossed it down to Sussex. On the train to Falmer the news came in that Anthony Knockaert was miraculously fit to play and you could feel it that us fans started to believe we might turn the tie around. The atmosphere in the first twenty minutes of that games something that I have never, ever experienced before. It was wall to wall noise as our injury depleted squad bombarded Wednesday, hitting the post, bar and peppering their keeper with shots. Then about 16 minutes in Lewis Dunk scored and the Amex erupted. I hugged a man next to me I'd never met before, some bloke behind me was standing on his chair going wild. We were one goal away from levelling the tie and for a few minutes we believed. Sadly, Wednesday scored less than ten minutes later and though we huffed and puffed, we couldn't do it. A boy next to me of about 9 years old was in tears at the full-time whistle and his father was consoling him. I'd never been so proud of the team, yet so utterly dejected at the same time that we'd come agonisingly close to promotion to the promised land. Thankfully, the next season we finally did it and the above moment can now be looked back on with a real smile that though heartbroken at the time, the best was yet to come! Favourite U's Player Dean Gerken Favourite U's goal I don't have too many to chose from being only a recent fan, but Theo Robinson's scoring the U's third against Swindon this season felt very special. I was right behind the goal for it in the South Stand and I went ballistic. It'd been arguably my hardest day at work also so there was a massive release of emotion in my celebration too! Favourite U's Kit I like the look of the 1971 kit with the old badge. Most impressive performance by opposing player I'll edit this when I can remember as I'm drawing a blank currently!
