Stand up to Robbie Cowling, BLM and the far left politicising our sport! 19:19 - Dec 7 with 2217 viewswonka1975

Dear fellow Colchester United fans, in light of Robbie Cowling's virtue signalling and telling us we are not welcome at our own stadium unless we submit to BLM, I felt it was important to send him the following email:

Dear Robbie Cowling,

As a life ling Colchester United fan, I was utterly astounded to see you publicly state that, fans are not welcome in our stadium if they boo the taking of the knee.

Do you know how many Colchester United fans you are trying to patronise and alienate? Do you think that denying football fans their right to freedom of expression and perfectly legitimate concerns is a positive thing? And more to the point, what action do you intend to take against Colchester United fans, like myself, who most certainly WILL boo loudly the taking of the knee for Black Lives Matter, or any other violent, far-left, anti-white Marxist hate mob that terrorises towns and cities.

For 32 years I have stuck by Colchester United through thick and thin, and now you're telling me that I am not welcome at my own football club? I think you should consider very carefully what Colchester United fans really think of your virtual signalling, for you are now the topic of conversation amongst large sections of our fanbase who feel the same as me. I promise you, this is not going to end well, and it's not going to help Colchester United FC.

Consider this: football fans up and down the country do NOT want our beautiful game to be politicised every week. The unfortunate death of a violent and dangerous criminal like George Floyd has got NOTHING to do with football, ANYWHERE in the world. The UK is NOT a racist country, and black players are overrepresented and revered throughout our game. The brutal truth is, everyone is sick to the teeth of having Black Lives Matter and the hoax of black victimhood rammed down their throats, and we are not going to tolerate it at football stadiums.

Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss this further.

Regards, Rikki Kane

Personally having supported Colchester United a lot longer than you I feel Robbie Cowling was totally correct in the statement made.
Latent racialism is prevalent throught our society and has nothing to do with the far left for whom, I for example have never supported but everything to do with common decency and respect to fellow humans who have historically been treated very badly by 'white' people over a long period of time.
Booing was disgusting and thank goodness Robbie had the courage to come out and make a public statement condemning the actions of a minority.

And do you think that Robbie Cowling should be banning supporters who have a different opinion to his own? Do you want me banned? Regardless how long you have supported Colchester, I am still a life long fan at 45 years old who has stuck by our club through thick and thin.

You should also bare in mind that racism cuts both ways, and perhaps their are also many victims of "black on white" violence and murder who feel aggrieved that they will never see their loved ones ever again. But we don't being our grievance to football matches, and nor do we blame every black person for these crimes.

It is not common decency to ram Black Lives Matter down people's throats, especially at football matches, regardless how long you gave been supporting Colchester United. Black people today have NOT had to live through slavery or oppression, and this nonsense needs to be left out of football stadiums.

Well said Burnsie.

And to the original poster...I find it hard to believe large numbers of Colchester United supporters share your views. On Saturday evening and since all I’ve heard and read is complete condemnation of the actions of those who booed. You object to the politicisation of football, conveniently ignoring what players and others keep saying...it’s not a political statement.

Please continue to exercise your right to free speech, just don’t expect your views to be welcome at Colchester United Football Club, nor shared by the vast majority of its supporters.

Poll: Safe standing at football; yes, know or don't know?

Well the vast majority of Colchester United supporters choose to live in Colchester precisely because they don't want to live in places like London, where far-left terror groups like BLM have mugged, rioted and looted their way to fame and fortune.

Furthermore, supporting glaringly compulsive lies that taking the knee is not political does not make the problem go away. The point you are making is fallacious. Vigorous denial will only exacerbate the undercurrent of anger that is boiling in the blood of football fans.

I think we are all going to see exactly how many people agree with me once the stadiums are full again. BLM and it's far left enablers are not going to get away with this nonsense for much longer.

The players will take the knee because they don't want to jeopardise their careers. Plain and simple. Which is another shining example of exactly why this patronising nonsense has got to stop.

You missed “some” from in front of football fans whose blood is boiling.

And I support Colchester United because I was born here. I didn’t choose to live here but I do choose to work in London and in over 30 years of doing so I’ve yet to experience the dystopian hell you claim it to be. In fact my worst experience of London was when returning from an away game at Crystal Palace and witnessed Millwall fans racially abusing and threatening a group of elderly black people on the train to London Bridge. Pretty sure their political views were to the right, not the left but I may be wrong.

Personally, as a fan who's first game was about 50 years ago, I'm very happy with RC over this.

Was it last summer RC allowed Farage to hold a meeting at the stadium? Now, I personnally think Farage is a vile toe-rag as do many other people, but I don't throw my toys out of the pram. I don't come on here trying to raise a populist rebellion. I have respect for other peoples views.

Unfortunately for the far left globalist media and it's lefty supporters, interracial crime, particularly violence and murder, in almost every single case, involves a black perpetrator and a white victim. But we are completely going off topic now.

"I don't come on here trying to raise a populist rebellion."

And football fans up and down the country didn't ask for every football match in the world to be hijacked by Black Lives Matter over an incident that happened in the USA that has absolutely NOTHING to do with football.

Like I said in the email I sent to RC, "what action do you intend to take against Colchester United fans, like myself, who most certainly WILL boo loudly the taking of the knee for Black Lives Matter, or any other violent, far-left, anti-white Marxist hate mob that terrorises towns and cities."

This, I think, is the burning question now. Almost every Colchester fan I know, about 35-40 in number, have all texted me in the last hour saying they want to log on and support me but are worried for their jobs.

Going after people and destroying their careers and their lives, of course, is what BLM and the far left are renowned for, thus I suspect vocal support in stadiums to be at a minimum whilst the stadiums are all but empty.

But with both Millwall and and such a huge glamorous club like West Ham United speaking out against this, I think we can expect a tsunami of rage up and down the country very soon.

Have you posted in similar vein on the OMB? It gets far more traffic than here. I’m sure if others share your views, other than those you say are in fear of BLM and the far left, they will show there support in far greater numbers than has been the case on this message board.

I don't know what Leadbelly's political views are but mine are not far in left and I fully support taking the knee and firmly believe booing this will make our players wish fans are barred for the remainder of the season.
If you and Sebastian don't like it I suggest you go elsewhere as this is truly the sort of muck spouted by so called Millwall fans.
Unashamedly I support taking the knee as is one of the few ways a sportsman can express views.
