PORT VALE 0 CARLISLE UNITED 0 Port Vale are still waiting for their first league win, and first goal this season, after they were held to a bore draw by unbeaten Carlisle. Well done to durham_exile for being the only one to get this spot-on, and 4 more had the outcome. A great start to this new competition, that despite a lack of goals, produced a 3 pointer in all the remaining nine games, and a total of 33 all told. There were only 11 goals scored overall, but with five games being decided by the only goal, members took full advantage, and four did well to have three 3 pointers. They were:- concordman who got the wins for Fulham, Accrington and MK Dons. ghughes11 who had the 1-0 wins for Accrington, Sheff Wed and Bristol Rovers. TheFatGooner who made the good decision to go 1-0 all games. They all also had one outcome to give them an excellent 10 points each. GOSBTS who got the wins for Fulham and Sheff Wed to go with his good Barrow 0-0 pick, to give him a superb 9 points. Predicting bore draws is proving to be a successful route to 3 pointers for him at the moment. A great effort from all four, but not enough to be the weeks top scorer. That honour goes to BFG, and at the same time makes the early leader, as he had the 1-0 wins for Accrington and Bolton spot-on, and an impressive five outcomes, to give him a brilliant 11 points. At this early stage the other knockout positions are occupied by mfb_cufc, who also had the Fulham 2-1 spot-on to go with the Coventry 1-0, and three outcomes to give him a welcome 9 points. Also unitedwhites, who got the wins for Fulham and Sheff Wed spot-on, and basher2010 who had the wins for MK Dons and Sheff Wed spot-on. they both also had two outcomes to give them a very decent 8 points. There is now four weeks before the next round of games, and as members won't want to be predicting too far ahead, there will be plenty of reminders nearer the time.
