Ethics departed for a 3 weeks vacay in sunny Oz today and I'd been racing against the clock to post week 21 fixtures so she could post predictions beforehand and then do the obligatory "all-2-1's" for two weeks (which was going to happen, but she never made it back to The U'sual), two "defaults" the maximum number of weeks allowed in that manner during an absence.
I'm still willing to give her the 2 weeks of 2-1's but this feels like a gray area. (or maybe only one week and then it's hard cheese?)
If she is unable to post for 3-4 weeks that will effectively seal her fate to Division 1. Opinion, Happy? Other PLers?

Well, when the CEO of the Champions League and a PL Hall of Famer, Wessex, and also the top ranked player in Happy League history, MFB, who point the thumbs up to allow Ethics to be credited for 2-1's that's saying something.
They could come back to haunt, but I've always felt if I can post what may all be 1-1's and 1-2's, job well done. Never of course that happens, ha ha, but I believe my personal notion on how to present my own pick 6's creates complainers like Noah who is running away with the points title...

Gerry, that's why I called it a gray area above. Ethics was flying to Oz and I was supposed to give her a heads up about when the fixtures were to appear. When someone implicitly states they'd like credit for 2-1 scores that's never been moved from the picture. Etho made it back to The U'sual anyway, but back to your point. It was agreed amongst us (and on the soapbox of Have your say as well) that 2-1's without an actuall request for them was unfair to the rest of the PLers. But post that request and two weeks are allowed.
I don't believe anyone here takes necessarily great pleasure of moving up the table at the expense of someone who missed a week, especially if there are mitigating circumstances. | |
