I wanted to reward higher seeds for the effort put forth during the season. Having said that, you see the format favours the first to poster, in theory.
Next week, when the Seahawks, Packers, Patriots and Broncos await this weekend's winners, first-to-post, while not a tie-breaker, will effectively lock out 2 picks of 4 again, and all top seeds may well win.
The PL playoffs are not random draws like the FA Cup.

By the way, Gerry, this particular rule really helps ME, huh? 
You may feel a tad slighted but I don't have a double-standard. Although the Lions lost to the Cowboys, I got 3 of 4 $100 point spread picks correct. 2 winners in our PL but Three Vegas spread winners, thanks to Lions although they lost 24-20 to Dallas 
I pick up my game during the playoffs. Mick has a 3-2 advantage into leg 2 -- not to mention the higher seed tie-breaker. I'm personally not whinging:p ..
