Being smug after our marvellous win in Warwickshire today, as you do, it's also good to see Blackburn get a truly unexpected away win at high-flying Millwall today. Their win, coupled with WBA's win, means the pikeys are dropping deeper into the faecal matter. They are now just 1 point outside the drop zone. I see Leicester are doing their very best to get themselves relegated too.
Trump is calling on the UK to send Royal Navy warships
What warships would they be then? We haven't got any! Past governments have made sure the senior service has no subs, destroyers or frigates because the entire budget for the Navy has been completely spunked on two aircraft carriers & the F35 (at £90M each) fighter jets that they carry.
The HMS Dragon saga was proof enough that we are a complete laughing stock when it comes to our Navy. Originally, 12 Type-45 destroyers were ordered... but that was cut to just 6 in order to save money. And of those 6, they are all, one by one, having to have their engines replaced because they 'don't like warm seawater' would you believe.
So good luck Donald. If only you knew the true state of this miserable country & its even more miserable defence capability.
Absolutely brilliant win. A bit scary near the end with the added-on time but held our nerve and got our just rewards for what was a a superb team performance against the league leaders.
Keep the run going Saints. Who knows where we'll end up. I'm enjoying the ride!
A draw is probably the best outcome. Swansea will go above us if they win - and a Wrexham win means that a play-off place for us will leave us with too much to do IMHO.
We were saved by the subs tonight. A terrific cross from substitute Edozie onto the head of substitute Larin.
I'll happily take the point. We looked burnt out tonight and things won't get any easier with another game in just 60-odd hours time away at the league leaders.
No one has even looked like scoring for Saints tonight. Bar Ross Stewart's header straight at the keeper in the first half, we've been poor in front of goal. So disappointing... and a wasted opportunity tonight to make up ground.
Big loss Leo going off. Doubt he'll be available Saturday. Looks like a groin injury yet again.
WBA are sticking 10-men behind the ball & making it difficult. Someone needs to show some class in front of goal. Maybe a set piece is our best bet tonight?
I think we'll be in for a tough game tonight as WBA are a lot better at home this season than they are away from The Hawthorns where they've been abysmal. I think it'll be pretty tight - something along the lines of 1-0. Whilst we're aiming hard to finish in a play-off spot and are unbeaten in ten games, WBA are literally fighting for their Championship survival.
We've got the players, momentum & ability to win - but it's going to be close. An early Saints goal tonight would do us the world of good and allow us to play our counter-attacking game thereafter which is great to watch when implemented.
Extra (unexpected) revenue for the club for getting this far... plus TV money for showing the game live... equals £25.00 or 30 max for a ticket. Anything else is just robbery.
