Now the dust has settled, I don't see the point in just ripping it all up and starting again. How about we use all the learnings so that we can get the urn back in 2027, rather than start on yet another cycle. Especially as McCullum and Stokes appear to have taken on board some of the issues. |

Yeah that's right Ned, that's exactly what I was saying. Honestly! |

You can't judge Cifuentes on one game, surely. Especially as they are a club in total turmoil, which you can't lay at his door. I will ask all the Marti naysayers why they think two years of keeping us in this division with basically no goalscorers worthy of the name, whilst inheriting a team from the truly terrible management of Ainsworth, isn't commendable. I hope you are right about JS being an upgrade, but that is also too soon to judge. We've seen under Marti and Warburton that QPR are able to surge into the play off zone then lose the next 17 games or something. If he can actually get us to win away on Boxing Day, I may start to believe. Had no issue with the "sacked in the morning" and especially the "Last Christmas" chants, but to call Marti the c word was not something I was taking part in. I look forward to Nourry getting the same treatment when his own PR work eventually pays off. |

Good post. The real shame is that we've finally got a captain who knows how to handle spinners. The support he gave Leach in the field was brilliant, as when we toured Pakistan. I do have hopes for the Ahmed brothers, I haven't seen much of the younger version but apparently he is really promising? I hope we don't consign Rehan to the one-day only bracket like Adil. Let's give him a serious lengthy go just like we have backed the batters for years. |

But about 7500 were sold to those with at least 100 loyalty points, so not sure that is fair. Agreed they should have done the points better, but who could have predicted this? Extraordinary. |
 | Forum Reply | West Ham tickets at 19:16 19 Dec 2025
I am stunned, absolutely stunned. 50 years following this club and I would never have predicted that. I think the price must have helped! |
 | Forum Reply | West Ham tickets at 18:01 19 Dec 2025
True but having been on the wrong end of that before, I wouldn't bank on it. |
 | Forum Reply | West Ham tickets at 17:52 19 Dec 2025
IF the map is to be believed, there are around 300 tickets left. Unbelievable if so. |

I got that and solved only by going on phone and turning off my wifi so was on network. |

Would be a pretty ballsy thing to play the kids when we've sold 9k tickets. Or absolutely stupid, is another way of putting it. We'd like some of these fans to come back. |

Ah I think the map releases them a bit at a time, loads more just appeared (unless it is being odd). I can't believe we would have sold 7k+ already, didn't know we had that many people with over 100 loyalty points (still requires quite a lot of attendance) |
 | Forum Reply | West Ham tickets at 15:43 19 Dec 2025
OK, I take it all back. They are going to sell out in double quick time, if the current map is right. There can only be about 1.5k left? Or am I missing something? |
 | Forum Reply | West Ham tickets at 14:56 19 Dec 2025
...which, much like West Ham no doubt, proved to be a blessing in disguise. |
 | Forum Reply | Ashes thread at 14:53 19 Dec 2025
True, but isn't he the youngest spinner or something ever to get 50 wickets? I do agree Leach is a good bowler, but as this tour shows good isn't going to make much difference. |

Fair point, but stats tend to go out the window on tours to Oz, is my issue. Bashir's stats are actually pretty good but we all know how that would have gone. As much as I have a soft spot for McCullum and Stokes, I do concede that when they fancy a player they have an unhealthy desire to back them for ever. Back them to a certain extent, yes, but they do have to prove themselves as consistent performers eventually. I mean I like both Crawley and Pope as players but it is all looking a bit foolish right now. I would be intrigued what would happen if they stay on. I can't see Key sacking McCullum so Key would have to be sacked first, and not sure how likely that is. Perhaps Key resigning is the most obvious thing. If they stayed, would they change their methods? They would have to give up on Crawley, Pope, Bashir for a starter, is my guess. |

There are 9000, you could probably wait until January! |

Yes. Joey Evison is my favourite Kent player at the moment but I can't honestly see him ever playing for England. Of the kids you named I think you missed out the best prospect in Dawkins, already going through the England age groups. But...on to another cycle we go. It's so predictable, it's quite sad really. I just can't fault Baz for trying something else, I refuse to believe our "normal" methods with this group would have done any better. I mean those calling for the return of Leach - really? You honestly think he wouldn't have been 1-100 here as well? He's a bang average international "spinner" (slow bowler really), he isn't going to have suddenly bamboozled Travis Head. The really depressing thing is that the Aussies have been riddled with injuries to their very best players! And we still can't get anywhere near. |

There's 9,000 tickets available - I really don't think it is going to matter. Quite a few people won't even have realised they are on sale yet. |

Mate, as a fellow Kent man, obviously Muyeye is an exciting talent. But opening the batting in Tests, my word. As for saying Brook isn't a Test batter, couldn't disagree more. I think he is a thick as a whale omelette, which makes his captaincy credentials somewhat worrying, but he just needs some proper clarity in his batting and his already excellent record will improve. I do have high hopes for the Ahmed brothers and Rews, don't get me wrong. But there's no Root, Stokes, Warne, Starcs in there sadly. |
