Iran, Saudi Arabia and the UAE have the toughest drug laws on the planet with death sentences (including in some instances for being caught with small amounts). Drug use continues to rise and in Iran, which has the most severe penalties, and they face some if the most severe increases and associated issues. In what way could they make the penalties tougher to reverse this trend? [Post edited 12 Mar 15:40]

I don’t envisage doctors prescribing. There are other options- possibly government sanctioned centres. As the Dr. Said earlier. The war on drugs has been lost and it’s probably sensible to look at something safer. It may well lead into some increased use but the damage won’t be a patch on alcohol. |

I’m for legalisation but this is a very good point. What I will say is that if you're for the prohibition of drugs to be consistent you need to advocate for the banning of alcohol. We know the damage it causes so if you’re applying the same argument to drugs then alcohol falls in the same bracket. |

The money from the council is repayable. I’m gueslng the New Zealand based company are investing £35 million into the area as there wasn’t a Welsh based company who would or could. |

Completely agree about Tandy. A good part of the early drubbings were down to individual mistakes that were an acceptable for international players and nothing to do with the international team coach. He’s really started to galvanise them and the return t9 a blitz defence has been a joy to see. |

I thought the pen for deliberate knock on was harsh. |

Isn’t that why we went into Iraq in 2003? Lots of prevalent commentators who for the last 2 decades have (rightly) criticised Blair for blindly following the US into war seen very keen for Starmer to do the same. |

We can blame governments but this wasn’t done in secret. People voted for it. Paying for it now. |
