Wrexham v Swansea City : Match day thread

They took their chance. We didn’t. That’s the difference but we’ve been much better bar the odd brain fart from Burgess.

Mandelson's £75,000 Payoff
at 12:45 13 Mar 2026

It was Keir Starmer’s main election pledge and selling point to bring standards back to public office and end kickbacks for colleagues, VIP fast lanes and revolving doors of government ministers it’s hard to not come to the conclusion he has completely and utterly failed.

Corruption minister convicted of corruption.

Housing secretary outed for fiddling stamp duty.

Homelessness minister resigned after making her own tenants homeless for her own financial gain.

Undeclared freebies from party donor who also coincidentally had a free pass to Downing Street.

The appointment and subsequent resignation of a US ambassador who proudly goes by the moniker “the prince of darkness” despite having been constantly and relentlessly sacked and embroiled in corruption and lies for the best part of three decades.

A foreign secretary who doesn’t know which countries are in NATO or not.

These are all people Starmer described as being “the grown ups back in the room”.

They have lurched from scandal to crisis to scandal back to crisis again.

Every week for this Prime Minister is the worst week since the last one.

It’s not going very well is it?

Good idea or madness?
at 18:16 11 Mar 2026

Exactly, so if you leave 5 forward the opposition team needs to leave six back giving loads of space for the keeper to just come and catch it:

The counter obviously would be to send your whole team forwards anyway and just play it short and use the extra numbers to create something.

It’s an interesting game of cat and mouse.

There’s one hilarious video of that which the camera is behind the shot and you can see a Norwich fan cheering with her arms in the air and laughing thinking it is going over only for it to dip at the last minute. Her face afterwards is a picture.

We haven’t left players forward at corners for years but it seems Kidderminster harriers are taking it to a whole new level. And it seems to be working. He’s even talking of leaving seven players forward!

It’s not difficult for most people to go through life without ever inflicting serious violence on other people.

For people like Barton it’s almost a daily occurrence. It’s a choice.

Easily done. Had a mates stag do once in Budapest but one of the boys went to Bucharest instead.

We’re such a Jekyll and Hyde team. We’ve been so comfortable at home but genuinely awful away. Last nights game was an amalgamation of our season so far condensed neatly and conveniently into two halves.

Enjoyed the Pompey fans shouting “you’re shit ahhhh!” as he played a perfect 70 yard defence splitting pass that created the first goal. 😂

Thomson and Venables another pair who pretty much got off Scot free for the kidnap, torture, sexual assault and murder of a toddler. They were out at 18 to carry on their lives with a nice little pay off and a protection order. One is back in because he’s continued his noncey ways but he’ll be out again soon. He’s due an imminent parole hearing and that poor boys mum will have to go through it all again.

He’s just stopped dying it. He’s 80 in a month or two, having a full head of blonde hair ain’t fooling anyone anymore. Not that it fooled anyone for the last few decades anyway.

The fact one of his only public appearances since the war broke out was at an Islamic convention where he was pathetically repeating “this was nothing to do with us” should tell everyone where his mind is on this.

It’s nothing to do with “national interest”. It’s just a sad, weak little jumped up tyrant desperately trying to save his own skin.

Maxine Carr aided and abetted this filth. Ok she may not have had a hand in the actual act but she is now living a nice life out of the spotlight with a new identity and cosmetic surgery (including a boob job) paid for by guess who? ….. drumroll 🥁 🥁 🥁….. that’s right! Us!

I don’t agree with us joining in militarily but all the US asked for was to use certain bases for refuelling/maintenance. I think that’s a reasonable request for an ally to grant. Starmer refused of course. They don’t need us to join in militarily they are doing fine on their own.

Perhaps Starmer thought that allowing the use of military bases would make British bases a target. He’s too thick to realise that they were a target anyway.

Don't Understand How This is Not Already in Place
at 08:47 11 Mar 2026

A US senator gave a speech in the senate the other day on how much he loves Britain and the people and deserve a lot better than the government we have been given. “Britain was built by geniuses but now it’s being run by idiots”. Hard to disagree with any of it.

This is a Holy War

What holy wars were the Romans involved in? They didn’t become Christian until the 4th century and Rome was sacked in 410. Constantine was inspired by a supposed vision of the cross but that was more of a civil war against other Romans who were pagan.

To be fair their disallowed goal was a fantastic spot from the linesman. Both offside and blocking the keeper from diving. I didn’t have a clue what it was disallowed for originally.
