There’s an episode of Ricky Gervais’ show on XFM with Steve merchant and Karl Pilkington from years ago that is still online, Jonathan Ross walked into the studio while they were all live on radio completely unannounced with his penis out. You can hear Karl’s clear discomfort with it all. Apparently both Ross and Brand used to do it a lot.

The personal wealth of the sovereign comes almost entirely from land in various duchies. Everything else belongs to the crown which is de facto owned by the government.
Literally every country in the world has committed some kind of atrocity or other over the last few millennia. Not to belittle the slave trade which was obviously awful in every way but it’s just one example of millions where humans have been shitty to other humans and if everyone was obliged to apologise for every bad thing their ancestors did it would never end.
You don’t hear the same calls for Mongolia to get down on their knees and beg for forgiveness for Genghis Khan and his Golden Horde rampaging, raping and pillaging across the largest contiguous empire in history for example.
This phenomenon is mainly driven by Britain hating politicians and ‘comedians’ who on one hand often campaign for an increase in public service spending and welfare whilst unfathomably and simultaneously demand we send trillions of pounds of reperations in the form of tax payers money to far flung countries to absolve us of an imagined injustice that we are all somehow responsible for despite not being alive at the time.
There are some seriously dangerous and deranged people in our political system, it’s infested with them and some of them make it as high as government. We should be absolutely terrified if these morons ever get their hands on the levers of power.
On the whole I have no issue with a lot of what he says, and a lot of it needs to be said but he does go over the top occasionally.
It’s a shame for him because he’s clearly an intelligent and capable bloke but he’s also a thug, a bully, a fraudster, a conman and a general arsehole. He’s got a big self destruct button attached to his chest and he can’t stop hitting it.
One way to look at it is to take Lennon out of your thinking, leave political bias at the door and any emotion out of it and look at his actual actions. You cannot go around phoning up journalists (or anyone) threatening them with “I’m coming to get you” whilst launching a sustained campaign of harassment, mobilising your online band of merry men to follow people, issue threats, take photos of their houses and their children and generally be a pain in the arse.
I get that he and his supporters are probably frustrated at the double standard of having his photo taken on a sunbed in Cyprus but what he did next was massively disproportionate and completely illegal.
We have heard from Keith in recent months the debilitating effect sustained online campaigns of harassment can have on individuals and their families. This is no different. These people will be brought to justice, so should Lennon.
To be a political prisoner and/or the victim of an establishment stitch up he would have had to have been arrested on spurious charges and presented with fabricated or exaggerated evidence. But it’s clear he did all of this and was stupid enough to post it all online. If they were looking for an opportunity to lock him up for any little thing they had the perfect chance a few months ago when he sparked a man out cold in an airport live on CCTV.
The fact remains he has a long long history of violence, drugs, fraud and other offences, many of which predates his move into the public eye. Over the years he’s seen more courts than Martina Navratilova. Surprised they haven’t given him a loyalty card and his own parking space.
He seems to think he can do whatever he wants. He can’t.
Yes I was shocked to discover he was chosen from a pool of thousands for a prestigious apprenticeship in aircraft engineering as a young man and by all accounts was very good at it until he reverted to form and got kicked out for assaulting a police officer. He certainly is no idiot.

My dad was an apprentice in ebbw vale steelworks at the time. He and a load of colleagues jumped in Lorry’s with a load of tools and drove around to help. Thankfully for him when they got there they were told that there was already enough people there for the rescue and he didn’t need to take part in the horrific task of digging the bodies out but did witness the devastation first hand. Think they were then employed to bring food, water and clothes to those that had been displaced. Horrific event.

I thought we were an absolute basket case but France has taken it to a whole new level. Macron really needs to resign following his shambolic handling of these fiery but mostly peaceful protests/mass looting and destruction.

Prisoners are known to be at a much higher risk of suicide. If he had taken the codeine away, stocked up on them then offed himself the nurse who let him walk away with them would no doubt be up on some sort of charge and sacked.
It is an absolutely ridiculously farcical situation but the judge can only really act on what the law says and if the law constantly creates these absolutely ridiculously farcical situations we really should be changing that law. But the government are so dogmatically obsessed with these international conventions the chances of us ever withdrawing from them and creating our own laws that apply both human rights and common sense are virtually nil.
We’ll inevitably have a downturn at some point. It will all come down to how we react to that.
Encouraging thing is we were averaging almost 2 points a game under Matos last season too. If we can stay anywhere near that we’re looking 85-90 points.
