They did give him a trophy at the POTY dinner though, somebody had snuck me in from upstairs because they'd heard my dad was getting SOTY.
Simon Barker was fuming about it, got nothing after 12 years with the club and Ruddock got a little plate.
I did think Ruddock was very, very good in that spell tbf. |

Mate, that's one of those lines that I hate, because why didn't I think of that when chucking out 1,500 words of generic rubbish on that game.
Hats off, that's great. |

I quite liked Bradley Orr. Steady, reliable. Like Danny Simpson who came later and was similarly dependable and unfairly bombed out when 'Arry decided for five minutes that he wanted to play a back three to accommodate his mate Rio. Famously abandoned two games in, by which time Simpson had been sold to Leicester (where he won a league title) and that saggy chopped arshole spent the next six months moaning in every press conference that he didn't have a right back. |

Ant Hobbs' column in AKUTR's used to make me absolutely howl. |

Producer Jaz goes on the rampage with her roving microphone in the strangely-Titanic obsessed city of Southampton. Sadly, despite much pre-match bullishness and optimism, it's QPR who sink on the South Coast with a chastening 4-1 loss. Pre-match from the pub, a selection of your questions for the panel, post-match from the train, and plenty else besides.

I think Ruddock was the main reason we stayed up that season.
At the POTY dinner that year they gave him a special award for his efforts. |

Nobody's perfect mate, no manager is going to get everything right and I'm certainly not going to sit here and pretend that he has or is. You know my thoughts on Vale's performance last night, I thought he was pathetic. Playing Poku and Adamson down a side against Scienza and Manning at the weekend was asking for trouble and trouble it duly got.
But I suspect Stephan's as frustrated as we are at a lot of this. He's not putting that team out last night thinking it's anywhere close to our best. I bet it's driving him insane. |
