There are moments
at 16:29 15 Mar 2026

Backwards and sideways feels like the inevitable retreat to 'back to basics' after being smashed 4 in a row, attempt a forward pass low in confidence and it gets interspted that could be another game over so i somewhat get the tentativeness. But what’s frustrating is when the forward pass is clearly on and we still don’t take it.

Players like Morgan and Madsen usually look to get it forward when the option is on, Varane and Hayden most often cant when it counts. Though players have to move & show they want it too, which is not always the case and leads to going backwards.

Thats why ball carriers like Poku & Chair change the dynamic when on the pitch. It doesn’t always come off but at least the intent is positive and it pushes the team up the pitch.

Vale a hand in all 3 goals, fair play to the young irishman.

Morgan's ball down the right to Mbengue just now, how many others could do that...

Ball over the top for Kone to run onto.. unfortunatly not the man you want there.

Any striker with pace is what this game is now made for.

I saw it too, but for me It looked more like RND explaining something to Saito who is doing what he (and most others do) when they don't fully understand a foreign language, smile and nod.

It can be spun however you want after that shit show.

Bennie's Cracker

An absolute Bennie Bonanza.

Excellent cameo from the lad. Banged one in and should have had an assist for Kone + also nearly sent Vale through 1-1 in that wild last 10.

He may have something, still not entirely sure what, but the more we see of him the more it'll show. These last months of the season are perfect for him to get some good minutes.

Arsenal’s main priority is winning the league for the first time in +20 yrs. If that means grinding out wins with a more conservative, back-tracking forward line, Arteta will take it every time.

Yes if they need rotation or are chasing a game, he’ll open it up. But at that level, with those stakes if there’s even a 5% higher risk of losing the ball or not tracking a runner, he won’t take it.

"£500k" can be spun any way you want: £500k saved in wages, £500k he'll be getting over there, mutual termination / both clubs agree to phrase it as a “£500k deal”...

Its highly unlikly a clean £500k is landing in QPRs account, its probably something like:

£0–100k actual fee
£400k+ wage saving
Marketed as “£500k deal” just because.

I do wonder what today’s overpaid ego players think when they’re being barked instructions by a manager who, not long ago, was coaching in the Norwegian 2nd div.

I get that if you add value and know what you’re on about, players will buy in and day to day reputation counts for less. But there has to be at least a bit of 'who the f*ck is this guy telling me what to do?'..

I’m just surprised it took until game 29.

We all knew it was coming, but the catastrophic 4min collapse really makes it sting.

Almost up there with the Leicester half i'd say, main difference everything went in that day but we've created enough chances / shooting opportunites to have scored 2-3

Much prefer Kone like this, further up the pitch being used as a battering ram to play off. Lets the better ball players behind him make things happen.

Good to see we can switch up formation to suit personel.

January transfer rumours
at 13:06 18 Jan 2026

On paper he looks like the kind of profile we’re missing.

We can now do the channels better with Burrell, but neither he, Kone or even Frey offer the physical presence / agility combo. A kind of Patrick Agyemang type (Derby’s one, not Dave, who absolutely bullied our back 4). We’re not dropping £7m like they did, so why not roll the dice on a younger prospect and develop our own.

He’ll probably be raw AF, but if he can get up to speed that profile is always useful in the Champ.

If Kolli can stay fit between now and end of season, its the perfect window for him to develop. No relegation pressure, decent vibe around the place, just go out and play.

On Kone, still raw yes but Id say this is his acclimatisation period, needs to settle at this level. Hopefully we see what he is really about next season. That moment in the 2nd half where he plucked the ball out the sky, held off the defender and turned to slide Kolli through 1-1, only stopped by great keeper positioning, that was top CF play. More of that please.

Who Knew Walsh Was So Good?
at 21:55 11 Jan 2026

We should just play him for most remaining games barring an absolute catastrophe.

Hamer & Nardi are gone end of the season, Walsh will get better with experience, we are not going down, unlikely going up, and he is ours.

Fourth Round Here We Come Match Thread

Its actually a very well worked goal.

Kolli flick to Dembele who is positive, twists and whips an accurate cross in. So fustrating when he does that at the 4th time of asking but fair play for staying positive as could have taken easier option.

At least by playing in an Athletics stadium Smyth has more space to wind up the throw.

Sell Jon Varane ?
at 17:17 10 Jan 2026

If we’d seen him driving forward Yaya style swatting off defenders like peasants and being integral to our play each week, then Id hold out for more. Seems a nice lad but I think we’ve seen enough to know £5m is a hard yes ok if you insist, we accept.

Field can do the same job while adding left footed balance and it frees up a spot for another to develop + subsidises Ronnie. Makes sense. Get it done (if its as clean as that).

Conservative assumptions:
£1m purchase, £5m sale
Profit = £4m
Sell on clause = 25% of profit > £1m paid to Gijon
Approx. net profit = £3m

Also worth remembering he’s an actual QPR academy produced product, who is not learning his trade in National League South like most others. He’s playing Championship football straight out the DS learning on the job, so im gonna expect some stray balls and raw match awareness.

Stray passes and positioning can be tidied up with minutes and coaching. Goals like the ones today, that’s raw ability. Let him play and see where he can go.
