Thought LCFC were running foul of financial regs. I'm sure Cook's on a fair whack, probably JCS too, so if we can afford to bite the bullet, then I remain of the view, get him in now. Interesting post on Morrison above. Have to say of what I've seen of him, he's never struck me as a really robust CH type, either. [Post edited 29 Dec 12:11]

Surely if a pinpoint 50 yard pass is fluffed by the receiver, the passer is entitled to gesticulate to his teammate that he's a vvanker, and encourage all and sundry to join in under the twin guises of: that'll learn him, and it's character building. Clive Walker's debut has now sprung to mind. |

I'd also like to know how Tuck and Sutton are doing on loan, and our Aberdeen lad, who I thought looked good when I've seen him. A small five minute presentation with accompanying powerpoints should suffice. Thanks in advance. |

Listening to Tyler, you realise how awful many commentators are. However, my real annoyance is with the co-comms. Firstly, many are utterly effing useless, only really able to describe what you've just seen in the replay, and throw the word 'quality' in a few times. However, all that aside, the thing that really brings my urine to the boil, and it pretty much applies to 'all' of them, why aren't they calling out clear and obvious cases of feigning injury and diving? My only possible explanations are: they/TV companies are scared of being sued for defamation and/or a club/player(s) refusing to do interviews and denying other privileges. The likes of Keane, Neville. G, Wright, and Carragher all know it. Even pumped up laughing boy, Micah Richards, knows it and yet they say nada beyond maybe, 'he went down easily there'. Won't somebody think of Ronnie's beauty sleep! |

Following on from this, QPR also need to be able to demonstrate a proven track that takes kids on a journey from puppy farm to our Starting XI and upwards, and not one only likely to amount to a commentator mentioning to neutrals tuning into an FA Cup first round match, that North Greenford's number eight was once on the books at QPR. |
 | Forum Reply | Merry or Happy Christmas at 07:18 28 Dec 2025
Well one thing is for sure, I don't use the utter pissy, 'happy holidays' that started to surface from the Septics, for fear of offending those who don't observe!! What bollix! Especially if such fops insist on taking the public holidays off like the rest of us. Its Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year as mentioned above...happy holidays my arse! |
 | Forum Reply | How confident are you that we could go up? at 06:27 28 Dec 2025
Three words, correctly assessing our chances. We've got a few threads going about our weaknesses in goal. We're playing two strikers, but don't have any back-up for them at all. Our FBs have been very good but again, no back up and given how well Madsen has played to become as integral as he has, then Oxford (h) showed how limited we are if he doesn't play. In a way, we're defying gravity. The fact that we are ninth, three points off third and if we'd done better against relegation facing teams when we played them, tells its own story about both the craziness of this league and the consistency you really need if promotion is a serious target. Thus, given how poor we've been over the last few years, to be where we are now is enough for us to be happy about going forward and to build on without the heavy, and I'd say, premature burden of expectations of promotion. I still look to our first priority of amassing 50 points and this season, it looks like we may do it way earlier than normal, especially after Coventry. We are doing ok and we are looking way better than we have for a long time. But we're not quite there, yet! |
 | Forum Reply | Hamer is off end of this month? at 19:19 27 Dec 2025
Of all the keepers we employ, Hamer is the one I've got most confidence in between the sticks currently. I still think we cocked up not getting Walsh loaned out more before handing him the gloves; so I'd certainly leave Coops where he is. |

Two words in your post that seem impenetrable for the boy and QPR: When fit. Alas, I don't think we can go forward on a basis that we're confident that 'when' will ever change to, 'is'. For me, he's a luxury we can't really afford and for him, I hope he doesn't rue what could and should have been for him, 'when fit'. |

If I've said it once, I've said it a hundred times: his arms move faster than his legs! Reverse engineer the lump and we might have something. If Bennie has been scoring for the DS, then play him. Could even play Morgan wide right and move one of the wee fellas up top with Buzz. |

He's such a limited player. No speed, presence, and wins feck all in the air. I just don't know what he brings beyond wasting a place. |

That Blair going off seems like a positive sub for us! |

I'm sure Pompey are in their dressing rooms absolutely shitting themselves at the prospect of Right Said Frey rampaging among their back line, giving them absolute mayhem! |
