I think there's a player there, especially if he's given regular game time. Yesterday in the midfield, thought he played really well, albeit that he still has a wayward pass in him. However, about 69 mins in, he played a ball forward to the rampaging Mbengue that was Wilkinsesque. Utterly sublime, perfect pace and placement between two of their players, that Mbengue didn't have to break stride. I think he's only 19 and next season, a good loan would see that kid blossom. Playing all over the place in fits and starts is not what he needs, playing regularly in midfield will. |

100% this! It was worse than our Wrexham collapse. Ahead against a team down a player and looking tired, with only a couple of minutes to go, should have been home and hosed. England have been woeful all tournament. Poor discipline, and while I'm no expert, our backs seem to change weekly. Why Andy Farrell and Shaun Edwards aren't at the helm of England can only be down to the 57 farts not wanting league players in charge. |

Pedantic - he's the 22nd year old left back from Hadjuk Split, we're looking at, and he's played in the last seven Croatia games. |

I wonder what he learned with the XI that really finished them off nicely against PSG midweek |

Been absent since the ink dried. Any ITKs or rumours? Seen suggestions on here that his absence is due to non-football reasons. Is he just plain brittle or, have we QPR'd him in a new record time? |

To be honest, its been the only consistent performer since the cup exit*. I'd leave it, personally. * Vauxhall Motors, 2002 |

I wouldn't want to put the OP off posting, and he raised some points. However, Padula, your reply is absolutely 100% 'kin spot on! The problems with the Rangers start and finish where they have for the last 30 years: the boardroom! [Post edited 12 Mar 10:51]

If/when Cook goes, it'll leave a vacuum that we don't have enough with the minerals to fill. I'm already fearful for next season in the absence of Rangers suddenly discovering how to bring in blokes with high standards, full-commitment, and hamstrings! As has been the case for the last 30 years, all our problems emanate from the boardroom. |

I think this is such a good point you raise. The visable regression of players who have looked very good at times, is cause for concern. We don't know, but something is clearly off down there. I wonder if, in addition to clearly being unfit, they are just plain confused by all the data clerks. Football is essentially a simple game made difficult by idiots. I think Pele said that and he was right. We're making this look bloody difficult. Nearly 40 games in all I know: our formation doesn't work that well for the players we've got; we can't seem to set ourselves up for away games; and I have no effing clue what our strongest Starting XI us, and I dont think anyone at the Rangers knows either, and a lot of good players are turning to dross beforeour very eyes! As much as I can make of the plot from the trailer of the new Peaky Blinders film, it's that Tommy Shelby is living a quieter life in the interwar years, until he's forced out of his gypsy idyll to save the day against the Nazis. Now I'm not saying you are a murdering gypsy gangster from Birmingham, or, that Bikenfuhführer Ben and Reichsminster von Nourry are Nazis, far from it. However, I am saying that the threat posed by these two and their retinue of coaches, analysts, performance monitoring leeches is every bit as existential as that faced by Great Britain in 1939. In doing so, I see no one among our breatheren with the capabilities to save us. Leicester away is our Agincourt. Our El Alamain, our battle of Britain, our Goose Green. And you are our Bobby Zamora, our Mark Lazarus...our Tommy Shelby! [Post edited 12 Mar 6:51]
