Saddle up for three vital points

In answer to your question about the pitch, it was soft with about an 80% rebound bounce, and looked bare in places but it was at least level.

1mm of rainfall on a pitch of approximately this size is8100 litres of water. I'm not clever enough to calculate the size of pipe required to discharge that volume into a ditch at an acceptable rate but I am sure others will be.
However having done some locum work for a Town Council that had been "gifted" an underground suds chamber of the milk crate style and was having complaints about it, we soon realised that what it required was regular cleaning of the gullies, silt trap plus an annual washout of the discharge pipes. Often when longserving staff leave that's the sort of knowledge they take with them

We can blame the sticky pitch, we can blame the referee who missed several late challenges (and obvious fouls - you could hear the slap Akinde got to the face from 20 yards away) but in reality we had no outlet in the second half and invited them to attack. Either the linesman read the offside rule at halftime or Sutton knew how to beat it, but time and time again first half we got caught out.
And as at Harrogate too many (every?) corner went to their keeper.

Stanley were playing for a point - second half should be interesting

Making a decision at 6.20 shows no respect for our fan base. I had a 60 minute wasted round trip especially as my local BBC Essex advised me at 6.30 that they would be reporting from the game tonight.

Edwards and Wilkinson (particularly) played positively. Sadly Richardson seemed out of sorts but then he was isolated on the right with no forward runner to aim at

It was interesting to read in the Wimbledon programme the extent to which their success this season has increased the gate and helped reduce their debt (now £10 million).
I am sure Robbie would like to see his debt reduced and that's not going to happen the way things are at the moment. Unusually there has been no Chairman's report Iin the programme to reassure us that there is a January recruitment budget available.

It's been a busy few days but I have been mulling over something said in the post match interview with the manager. Apparently Jay was subbed when the sports scientists noted his stats had dropped. It might have been something other than stats but the point is that you cannot measure the impact of a player just on stats alone. Perhaps that's why we see the same inept players being picked - their stats are good even if their positional play, or passing, or tackling are piss poor.

Someone on here described Greenidge in a pre season as a rabbit in the headlights. We have him too many times giving a poor performance to justify a first team place.
Smith should never have played - his attention to a Donny player meant he never even saw the corner coming over, let alone saved it.
And any manager worth his salt would go to the fans at the end. They are keen to take the glory so come and take the brickbats
Taylor and Jay at least tried.

Make sure it's something warming. We have been in Sheffield today before travelling over to Donny and as the sun starts to drop the temperature is plummeting.
You should be snow free driving down Durham

Is Durham OK? It's unusual for him not to contribute on a match day.

Isn't that restraint of trade ? In addition I am sure there is legislation against "unfair clauses" being imposed.

As there was no problem with him being U22 coach, it's not about him working. So as long as we don't call him manager (unless there is an EFL requirement to have a named manager) then he must be free to undertake "other reasonable duties" as contained in most employment contracts.
