Something that struck me today. At 2-0 up in the 70ish minute of an almost meaningless end of season game, he was intensely going through tactics with Ilias Chair on the sidelines. No let up, no drop of standards, no end of season stroll. He expected, he's a winner and my god do we need a winner.

So yes, thank you Martí

Clearly a very good shot stopper. A few years younger than Dieng was when he made his debut for us. A season in L1 probably right for him, obviously has work to do as you'd expect of a keeper his age. But I can't see why he can't be a future number 1 for us. Loved his interview too, playing for us meant the world to him today

He's often nowhere near as bad as some people suggest and nowhere near as good as we know he can be. Overall, I don't think I'll miss him all that much.

Finance. All of our players are for sale and he's one of the few who could raise anything. No point in having Ilias Chair and no money for anyone else

I like Morgan Fox, think he will be very useful for us next season.

Superb goal. If this is his last game for us, its a fitting goal to finish his time here

I did ask an Ipswich mate at time whether Mowbray and Dozzell Sr, were likely to have crossed paths at Ipswich. He did say most likely. Obviously didn't take Rowett long to realise he isn't the man they need for that particular battle though!

Transfer rumours 2024
at 23:29 3 May 2024

With Nourry at the wheel, Belk presumably getting a lot of input as he should and MC in charge, I fancy our recruitment might be quite creative this summer. Plenty of Lucas Andersen types who none of us could claim to have a clue about, different markets being explored for value. Could be fun

Barnsley sack manager
at 21:06 3 May 2024

Was about to say not going great for them v Bolton, but just pulled one back

More importantly though, it turns out they sacked their manager as they had an Austrian bloke ready to take over. Big problem though, turns out they had not done their due dilligence and he wasn't elligible for a work permit! So stuck with a caretaker

We could possibly get Solihull Moors in the League Cup first round too. Birmingham City were in the Southern section last season. With Sutton and Forest Green dropping out of the league and Chesterfield coming up, its very possible!

Piece in the Daily Mail - Interesting snippet about a striker in 2021

When he inevitably ends up at Arsenal or someone like that this summer, Cov are surely in for a big old wedge of cash too. Assume they'll have a big sell on

Gyokeres? Joined Cov permanently in 2021, Warbs had links to Brighton anyway too. Has 40 goals in all competitions for Sporting Lisbon this season
