I remember 2021 (I think). Those teams played us pre-season because of the style of football that we were playing. It served us well. We beat Man Utd and Leicester scraped a draw. It was all very encouraging. |

With Bet 365, at the moment, we are 25-1 to win the league and 9-1 to be promoted. |

Anyone else hear Andy Hinchcliffe, talking of the Championship, say 'It never ever fails to let you down'. ? |

Not sure that a 17-year old French professional footballer could be advised to re-locate to London. Do QPR have the ability to look after him? Man Utd used to do that sort of thing with young British players. Could we do it with a French lad? |

They (the lower league team with Pep in charge) would undoubtedly play better than they did before, but, they would soon reach their limits because the level of skill of each individual player would hold back the development of the team. It would show up in many ways, not least when, for example, the 'ordinary' player - lacking the skill of a top-flight player - was under pressure and had to make a quick decision on what to do with the ball. |

Agreed Hayesboy. Well done QPR. That is a wonderful review of Frank's career. |

Not QPR, but a rumour close to where I live: Rumour: ‘Michael Cooper’s departure from Plymouth Argyle will shortly be announced, for a fee in the region of £8 million’ Read more: http://argyle.life/transfers/ £8 million? What did we get for Seny? Is Cooper that good? |

Latest (I think) rumour is that Norwich City want him. |

Lots of memories there. Anyone remember the white-painted message somewhere on the Ellerslie Road side of the ground? It was either 'Rodney must stay' or 'Rodney must not go'. |

Pleased that he is doing well and enjoying himself. But, as for QPR, the challenge is to find a new 'Adel' rather than call the old one. |

Depends on retention and recruitment, but we should plan to get in the top six. Planning for mid-table is a dangerous strategy. It would not suit talented, ambitious players, nor is it 'safe'. A few unfortunate results and it becomes a relegation fight. |

Not quite the same thing as previous posts, but... about four years ago, calling at a petrol station just outside Morlaix in Brittany, the French chap at the desk asks 'You like football?' 'Yes'. 'Which team?' 'Queens Park Rangers' 'Ah. Stan Bowles' he said. |

Interesting point Stainrod. Is it, at least partly, that the Scandinavians (and other 'minorities') know that they have to learn English to get on in the world and in this country, for years, we have been teaching our children that good use of English does not actually matter very much? |

I could not believe the time and space that we won in midfield. Not sure if it was Marti's tactics or a failing on the part of Leeds United, but if it was a result of planning, then we ought to download it into the QPR memory bank for next season. |

Great summing up, Clive. Cannot help but think back to that win over Leeds in April 1976. A win was essential for Rangers to maintain the title challenge. I was standing at the Loftus Road end, with a friend who is a Sheffield Wednesday fan who, of course, disliked Leeds. I remember the lovely goal that Stan Bowles scored at the Loftus Road end. So I saw it? Well, not exactly. I saw him coming towards us and the noise left no one in any doubt about what had happened but, no, I didn't see the ball cross the line - too many heads and shoulders in the way. But, the atmosphere was wonderful - I hope that it is tonight. Another 2-0 is too much to hope for, but 1-0 would do very nicely. |
