 | Forum Reply | Dembele and Obikwu out for Charlton game at 15:33 3 Feb 2026
Obikwu wasnt injured at the time of signing. Three days and one training session later he picks up a knock. Said to possibly available for Coventry game, as opposed to the company line now, we have no idea as to when he will be able to join in at training. Maybe he needs to give training a miss, as we dont want him picking up another injury. Wouldnt normally believe such things but this is QPR, we are talking about here. BONKERS !!!!! Think Sam wanted to play otherwise this deal makes no sense. Could have also understood it, if we had set a obligation to buy at the end of the season but there is none. Am guessing would have been on reasonable wages but not horrendously high. Morgan they are clearly expecting to step up and play more - but again Sam's versatility will be missed also. A very decent servant to the club who perhaps deserved better. As a club we move on, but Sam will be missed. [Post edited 2 Feb 22:11]

Loan with a likely permanent move at the end of the season. Guessing if its £2million for 27/28 year old decent but standard championship midfielder, think that would be the reason for the deal. I dont want Field to leave but if the above is correct or a similar sell on fee, then perhaps it makes sense. For me, am sad to see him go and would think we have also seen the last of Sam Field in a Rangers shirt. |

Sam Field is off. Norwich in advanced talks according to Sky. Think this is daft. Am guessing their is an obligation to buy if he gets a certain number of appearances. Good signing for Norwich. [Post edited 2 Feb 14:09]

Three of them are profoundly deaf actually. Being deaf is certainly a disability though and impacts peoples lives. |

Agree. If you fall over, constantly looking for the foul, there will be just as many occasions when you wont get the decision. However, this one thought was correct. If it had been against ourselves with a player known for taking a tumble, i doubt we would be saying its a stonewall pen. Not a pen for me. |

Oh dear. Yes its a strange decision but just a one match ban and his team actually still won. The tirade out of context. Sadly he sounds unwell. Know he has loads going on personally. Arent four of his kids disabled. i remember a programme stating they all profoundly deaf. Maybe he is not exactly coping with his lot. Its concerning hearing this interview. Quite shocking. i have had couple of times in my own life where the pressures of life sent me a bit off the rails and i think this interview suggests a man that needs a time away from the pressures to recuperate and get himself back on track. Sorry op, didnt enjoy this at all. its a little bit more than a Holloway rant. The BBC should have cut the interview short, but ethics and the BBC are not common bedfellows at all. Take it easy Ollie. |

Smyth is our worst offender at throwing himself to the floor. Sometimes i think he does it because he feels he does not have the skills to beat his man or put in a decent cross. Wish he attempted to beat his man more or attempt more at the killer ball than throw himself to the floor. He has a reputation which extends beyond W12, but not just to opposition teams but very much more known to those officiating who are more wise to what Smith does and in fact, i think consequently, as a result he actually often doesnt get the correct decision, when he is genuinely fouled. Lots of work on the training ground required for me. [Post edited 1 Feb 19:08]

Yes but he had a very decent game. And tbh Walsh was way more at faul All the blame on the teenager whose main input is to attack and actually played well but some people only focus on the negative. Edwards, Cook, Dunne and Walsh more at fault. Its like all the over the top flak Esquerdinha has received also. They will know but thankfully, am certain JS will praise young players more than moan. There will always be so many people looking to criticise when actually praise is due. He is a teenager with a few appearances !! [Post edited 1 Feb 18:55]

For me its a total no brainer. This whole debate is completely stark raving bonkers for me. And there are many on here that dont want RND !!! Injury hit player who has only been involved in 24 games this season !! Games he hasnt played because he was rested, not injured. Bloody sick note - no hoper - lets bin him !!!!! I cant understand the reluctance.of so many on here to allow him to leave. Not as if we have a great track record of signing consistent and actually this season available full backs and he will be relatively cheap also, and not old ie 26. If we dont we have esquerdinha who is still very raw and Larkeche coming back from potentially career ending injury that he has had and as yet to prove he is anything other than a second in command choice at left back. I say- this one if a lot get their way of letting him leave is one that could seriously bite us on the bum painfully... But yes lets get rid limited bang average sick note !!! Sometimes i am concerned posters have consumed copious amounts of hard drugs as this does not seem to be viewed from a sane perspective. Maybe, its just me though !!! [Post edited 1 Feb 18:57]

Yesterday was the first time i thought Bennie has shown some real promise. Thought he was excellent. Much better control, definitely a presence and almost scored but involved in some nice moves also. Half this board criticising a 19 year old attacker with a handful of games to be at fault for their goal. Its our back four and the goalkeeper that are employed to keep the ball out of the net. He has his head in his hands because the opposition scored. Their goal had nothing to criticise Bennie over with. Great performance and an encouraging display from him yesterday, as i had yet to see much so far, but absolutely was really pleased with his effort and application. For a 19 year old lad far from home in one of his first half a dozen games was for me - a performance of note. Well done Daniel. [Post edited 1 Feb 18:21]

The club clearly saw him as potentially special, because signing a player, who won't be able to play for half a season is a statement in itself. Hope for two things; 1. He maintains this form. 2. He is not another crock. Anyone that can score the goal he did last week, clearly has class. But fair play Harvey - keep at it. We like what we see. |
