Vale will play well on many occasions and impact games in the future. He definitely has something. There's a player there.
The player that I am losing faith with myself sadly is Saito. Great person, am sure and clearly loves the game but he is lost at this level and sadly is a passenger.
If we paid £4.5million for him as widely reported, we wont get anywhere near that kind of money for him, £1 million max now I would think and I cant see him improving now.
Vale on the other hand, definitely feel there is something there to be worked on. He definitely could have resale value and hopefully contribute much more for us in the near future. He is only 22 I believe. Saito is 25 now. [Post edited 6 Nov 1:39]

12.30pm Saturday games are dull as.
Not only have most only just had their shredded wheat but all 22 players, all the officials and most fans are wiping the sleep out of their eyes.
The first halfs of nearly all these games, the atmosphere is silent, and the action, well there isn't any.

Its a tragic incident.
The goalkeeper is getting multiple death threats and can imafine he feels absolutely horrendous about it as he has put out in a statement.
A man has lost his life during a game.

He got a cheer when his name was read out in the line ups at the start.
Was impressed by his pace but didnt notice him much in the game.
Vardy has totally lost his speed and could be a reason, Burnley as a relegated club are so poor. He was zero threat. Don't agree with fans taunting Rooneys name at him though. Not exactly original. Aware he is not an ex player of ours but the achievements of that limited Leicester team was incredible and we won't ever see that again and Vardy was a key part of that. [Post edited 6 Nov 1:12]

I never thought much of him as a person.
Used to work with a woman 15 years ago, who willingly admitted she would let him do anything and everything to her. I never saw what women used to see in him and a man reported to have had nearly one thousand women sleep with him, clearly she was not alone in her thinking. I couldnt see myself what so many women back at that time liked about him. Found it very strange and to me he came across as very gay - probably an act though.
Clearly if he slept with such a vast number of women, many were possibly not exactly consensual, by weight of numbers.
A horrible man, no doubt anyhow, totally buying his own self image but the power of celebrity added to it.
Someone saying its very hard to pass on a conviction in these cases. Well a friend mine was on a jury of partner rape but since the complaint they were back together and married. The woman wanted the case dropped but it was already in process and my friend said by letter of the law they had to find him guilty.
Whatever, rape is a hideous crime, and Russell Brand will certainly need his "God" supporting him, as he will face time, although all criminals are being let out ridiculously early now.
Feel sad for his wife and kids. The reporters shouting at her that her husband is a rapist whilst having to go back to bringing up her kids knowing one day they will read and understand about their dad.
No one is a winner in these cases.
To be honest why do we never hear about all the good deeds going on in this world. There are plenty of brilliant things happening daily all around the world. 99% of people are decent and law abiding but we have to have this cr*p sensationalised day after day.
Everyone now is their own personal paperazzi. The world's gone mad and mainstream media has now expanded into the total jungle of social media thats out of control and unmanageable to bring back into any kind of decency.

I do agree wirh all comments about Obikwu being positive
He was mobile, made himself available and the chance he had, he was in the right position, controlled the through ball and manufactured himself so that he had a clear shot on goal.
Personally, I was encouraged as I thought he would be one that would be permanently injured whether he was injured or not.
Lets hope he gets a bit of confidence from his appearance. |

Difficult to judge on one appearance.
Did nothing particularly wrong. Was ok but needs a run of games before assessing him.
Kemper has had a few games and performed at a higher level and for me has the jersey for now, but Cirkin should do well.
I am wondering if he can play right side also as Adamson has had a couple of streaky perfomances and I would prefer he just was a sub to come on , this Saturday but with Lamptey and Mbengue out, its unlikely.
Unless JD does his right back extraordinaire performances again with JCS hopefully available. |

Bit worried Kamara is turning out a la Hayden.
Supremely solid in his first half a dozen games and then reverting to type.
Hayden was praised big time in his first few games for us and showing that mature and high quality solid dependable centre mid, but then drifted into mediocrity.
Kamara I do hope does not go down the same rabbit hole.
Madsen is now being missed and today I had hoped Isak could have had a fifteen minute run out. He looked very tidy in pre season and with our lack of depth and quality in these areas, hope he gets an opportunity soon. Maybe on Saturday. |

Well we have Lloyd and Burrell injured, Kone occasionally firing, Kolli not proving at all, as yet that he is the prodigal son, so Obikwu deserves a chance.
Tbf, he made the chance himself, but can imagine it was a brown pants moment.

So you beat the league leaders with a supremely brilliant display. Five zip and probably should have been two or three more.
Then, you would expect confidence oozing through the team.
Forget the Southampton game, but you play against a poor Burnley team languishing in the bottom three and with only one win in thirteen games.
And the performance that follows is in a word - TIMID......
A severe lack of confidence seemed to be shown by all players - why, why, why does this happen....
I dont perform my job front of a crowd but if I am doing well, its noticed, my Mrs loves me and all my friends respect me, I gain an extra spring in my step.
If my job is under threat, I become nervous and erratic, I become a little less predictable and those around me wonder whats going wrong and it seems to escalate and then it seems everything turns to dust.
So why when the last home game all the players put in fantastic performances, why do they follow up with a game like tonight.
It looked like the sort of game we were going to lose. Tbf, I was surprised we managed to craft an equaliser.
But tonight is all I hate about supporting this fricking football club. I know all clubs have their ups and downs but inconsistencies and a severe lack of confidence and abilities in attempts on goal is sometimes very painful, when they should be on top of the hill.

I just think Scott Parkers' time is nearing its end. West Ham are struggling and Scott Parkers plans are well known and think him coming into this kind of team, he won't make positive changes enough for improvements in results.
Also, probably am hoping this too, simply because I don't like him. |

Is he injury prone or just not at the right level.
Been on the bench three or four times this season.
But as has been said to not come on when we are winning four and five nil up, even for a brief cameo, probably suggests its unlikely to happen for him here. [Post edited 2 Nov 22:48]

Bill Wyman was with Mandy Smith when she was 13 and I remember at the time it was sensationalised in the national papers as Bill Wyman being a bit of a lad. Very rock and roll. Nothing was deemed weird about it, I seem to remember. How fricking psycho was that.
Sometimes, times do, on the odd occasions, change for the better.
