It's an interesting one in that Hilly identified that position as a problem two months ago. We can only assume that he has been unsuccessful with his targets or that they are playing hardball.

RNL with a fierce shot from the edge of the box. The ball must have swerved but when he makes good contact then it has a good chance of going in, and it did. Some good intricate play in the second half and Bunney was very much part of that. He was playing for his shirt today. McDermot's shot was outside the box and struck with venom, bottom left as he saw it.
Allen playing some sublime passes and keeping hold of the ball well.
Bell could have scored 2 in 2 minutes but his shots were woeful. He just needs to bag one or two to give him confidence.
Some simple passes going astray, Vincenti, Cannon and others being guilty. But second half we seemed to up our game against very good opposition.
A good win in the end giving us a psychological boost ahead of next Saturday. |  |

We played well, as we did V Blackburn. Proper league games are a different gravy as we all know. We look fit , organised and well set. The passing isn't far away from being very good. Jamie Allen has perception beyond words. But, as some of the more reasonable buckets have said, McNulty can be good but is a mistake waiting to happen. The defence doesn't look secure IMHO.
McDermott looks like a very good signing up front, as does Alessandra. Nice to know we have two potential big beasts up front in Andrew and Bell.
