Shortest QPR playing career 19:15 - Jan 3 with 6950 viewsenfieldargh

Listening to a pod cast where Jason Crowe apparently came on as a sub and within 30 seconds receives a Red card and is never selected again so pretty short Arsenal career.

I'm trying to think of any QPR players who made their first team debut and that was pretty much it.

Did Tom Hitchcock come on in the final few minutes, score the winner and never play for us again?

Alan Brazil was another, must be loads more but must have had to make an official appearance

captains fantastic
Poll: SWEET F'IN CAROLINE. Played every half time

RFA

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Vic Mobley?

I thought of Vic Mobley. The stats show 25 appearances for us
What about Phil Nutt including his appearance and interview on the Big Match?

Bloody hell, was it really just part of one game?

I can only say that it took several years off my life.

(The Walthamstow story is suitably bizarre - did you recognise him, or was he wearing a name-badge?)

Yes, just around half an hour if my memory serves me correct.

I used to get my cars serviced by 'Honest' John Edwards who had a garage/workshop in Leyton. One day, circa 2000, I was at John's place and he said that his mate was bringing over a car for him to look at and (as he knew that I followed the R's) said he's one of your players. Who's that I replied and he said George. Oh George Kulcsar, said I? No, said John, he's got an African surname. I said we've got no African players called George or any other name. He said he's a big bloke, think he's a goalie! This ignited my interest so I waited for him to turn up and yes, it was Ademole Bankole who was apparently known as George.
He seemed OK, if a bit laid back for a car salesman. He told me he had a number of jobs which he did in the afternoons after training. I got the impression that playing football wasn't the love of his life and, to be fair, he wasn't very good at it. He told me that he came to England when he was 26 and had a trial at Doncaster Rovers but was soon loaned out to Leyton Orient.
I believe he played for a number of league clubs until he was almost 40 but made less than 100 appearances in total.

Shortest QPR playing career on 12:37 - Jan 4 by qprxtc

Yeah, that was an enlightening insight Danny. We could have had quite a team of future stars that we told to p1ss off. Isn't Stuart Pearce and Paulo Wanchope in there too?

Back to the original post.

My favourite answers in this question are usually Karl Elsey and Peter Davidson.

Don't forget Tony Currie, and yes he played for us eventually, but we could have had him for nothing circa 1965/66.

Carl Leaburn, came on as a sub away to Reading in 2002-ish and was never seen again.

Assuming the stats on soccerbase are accurate, some other honourable mentions:

Alvin Bubb - 1 sub appearance v Wolves 2001, 9 mins
Alex Higgins - 1 sub appearance also v Wolves 2001, 10 mins
Justin Cochrane - 1 sub appearance v Stockport 2001, sent off 17 mins after coming on
Hamid Barr - 1 sub appearance v Yeovil 2001, 22 mins
Brian Fitzgerald - 1 sub appearance v Bury 2002, 16 mins
Scott Mulholland - 1 sub appearance v Burnley 2005, 21 mins
Kieron St Aimie - 1 sub appearance v Leyton Orient 2007, 26 mins
Michael Mahoney-Johnson - three sub appearances 1996-97 totaling about 50 mins

but haven't seen anyone that beats Carl Leaburn's 3 mins

Ademola Bankole is back at QPR, according to this article from September 2018 - coaching with the under 16's & under 18's.

Ismael Miller? I bet most of you can only think of that one moment at QPR when he was relevant.

one of my cult heroes at QPR was Brian Croft. Signed for 60K from Chester, he made no appearances for us in his 3 years here.

According to wiki, in 1995 he was at -

QPR - 0 apps
Blackpool - 0 apps
Torquay - 1 app
Southport -0 apps
Stockport (95/96) - 3 apps

In 1996 he moved to Bath, and made an appearance.

In 2000 he came out of retirement to play for Chester.
He made no appearances.

Brian McCarthy may remember Roy Wegerle getting cross at us chanting Brian Croft's name during a pre-season game in Sweden.

I was going to offer Yun Suk_Young but when I looked he had 33 apps and 1 goal. I liked him but I hadn't realised how many games he played.

The grass is always greener.
