Durham that is what worries me as get in wrong again and we will going down to the national League and as we have seen at Southend and Scunthorpe it is not an easy place to be!

burnsie - you are absolutely right.

This is a key appointment at a critical time.

Scunny are showing just how difficult things have become in the National League.

Garrard is the Royal Jewellers, let us hope we have unearthed a gem.

We do not want to join the National League any time soon.

Very disappointing to read that an internal appointment hasn't been ruled out.

Let's just appoint Garrard and start climbing this wretched league.

Nothing wrong with that Wessex.

As you know, being an avid reader of my Col U exploits in FM, I only needed 2 seasons to get Col U promoted to League One!

Give me the keys to the castle and I'll have us storming up the table!

Now to convince my fiancé to move from NZ to Colchester!

Looking for a Number 2 though if any boarders want to send me their FM and/or FIFA CVs???

My eldest son is an avid Football Manager player much to his partner's chagrin. She also finds it strange that despite being a Man Utd supporter he too plays as Colchester and has them top of the league after 18 games.

I reckon if I pursue my coaching badges I must have a chance of persuading RC of my managerial credentials.

Haha, indeed I am, and enjoying the updates too - congrats on the Nodge appointment!

A mate did actually apply in writing for the vacant position at Bristol City a while back, citing exactly that experience on his application. They even, bless them, sent him a formal written reply thanking him for his interest, but on this occasion he had been unsuccessful

I'm not going to listen to more rumours.

If Garrard is coming then get it done.

The right appointment must be made.

Stuart Maynard, the Wealdstone manager, is an incredible 1/4 to be our next manager. David Artell was evens earlier today, now 8/1. Luke Garrard is now 16/1, if you fancy him to get the job durham.

Maynard now 4/9, as money has come for Artell, and he is now back into 3/1.

We do seem to have strong links to Wealdstone.

But I do hope that Garrard is given the nod.

Misread the headline, thought Sarina had been appointed, never considered it but might be a good choice, at least she is successful and won something …

Quite an interesting prospect so doubt it will happen.

If he didn't burn all his bridges at FGR he may go back there. They aren't doing very well without him.

The FGR fell out big time with Edwards and Watford as he did not like the alleged underhand method how Edwards left so not sure a return would be on the cards

I would take Edwards as new manager but unfortunately it is not my decision

Agreed, a return to FGR is unlikely but stranger things have happened at sea.

Let's just hope it's an external appointment and they are in place in time to prepare for AFC Wimbledon away. Another sterile performance under Ball doesn't bear thinking about.

You do have to wonder who is betting on this?

Be good to have someone in place before Saturday but they're leaving it late if that's the plan.
