Personally am disappointed by yesterday. We don't appear to have signed the experienced players BG was saying he wanted.
Not sure how many games Edwards has played since leaving us.
The defence worries me as feel we haven't the substance for a long hard winter with two cb's already out for extensive period.
Once again we appear to have put bulk before quality and increased our midfield options without truly replacing Skuse or Ashley.

I have been posting on here for a little while that we wanted £1.5m for Junior.
Stoke were baulking at paying £1m so the truth is probably somewhere in between. They deliberately left it to the last minute to secure the best deal which of course is good business.
If the Chairman allows BG to invest some or all of this sum at Christmas we might be able to secure some experience.
The thing that is hurting us at present are the injuries. Particularly Nico Lawrence.
I think we will be too strong for the Saddlers today.

Yeah he's a player for sure. I think we've done well to get him. I reckon it's only a one year deal to give him the chance to put himself in the shop window. I don't think he sees himself as a League Two player. I think his contract ended in Belgium last season so he was effectively a free agent. Maybe he had some other possibilities but transfer window goings on meant we ended up being the best one he had left. | |
