Beginning to think things are falling apart before season starts!
I have no idea how good Slack was but disappointing another upheaval.
All the promises about signings, budget, etc just falling apart.

What is disturbing is the timing of these departures after training has started and the players have been back for a fortnight.

There is a dearth of potential signings coming in whereas junior will be leaving and possibly Noah and Samson.

Striker and midfielder needed urgently.

Come on U's get it sorted

I am not yet concerned Durham. Those easy to sign early in the transfer window are probably those desperate to find any club. Those with the most ability/confidence will hang out for the highest bidder. Until the agent of an ex-Championship or ex-League One out of contract player has exhausted all dialogue with higher ranked clubs they won’t consider recommending dropping to League Two unless silly money is in offer (Wrexham, Bradford etc). Junior/Col Utd is probably hanging out for a higher bid and the same is true of any incoming signings.Negotiations with the best prospects are inevitably protracted. I expect a flurry of signings after 1st August.

Kilmarnock add Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Kieran O'Hara

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/66166602

"The 27-year-old, capped twice by the Republic of Ireland in 2019, arrives at Rugby Park as a free agent after leaving Colchester United.

He will provide competition for Sam Walker, who played 34 of Kilmarnock's 48 games last season."

Oh no bwildered, what news have you just released

Durham won't be happy! You could have pre-warned him!

The good news for Durham though is that their manager said:
"I’ve no doubt he won’t be with us long and thrilled he chose us after a great conversation."

Pick him up in January Durham after he has banged in 20 odd goals for Farnborough!

Odd move for Folivi - he seemed to be doing okay at Chelmsford City, so why move to an arguably worse National League South side? Clearly not that ‘highly sought after’, but I wish him well.

Totally devastated to hear this news ghughes!

Can't help feeling we have once again missed a trick.

But Chelmsford to Farnborough seems a strange backward move.

Every day I read about former players who have moved elsewhere or targets that have gone north of the border.

Perhaps our sights have been set too high.

But we still need a striker and another midfielder.

That's even more disturbing if we are not able to compete financially with Farnborough unless of course we have no interest in signing Folivi. Which leaves me perplexed.

Ok then are we interested in Rochdale's Devante Rodney who is an exciting pacy forward.

I have to say I am underwhelmed at the lack of transfer progress.

Get it sorted.

Yes I read that too.

Disturbing that we cannot compete with Salford on salary grounds.

RC stated that we would have a top six budget this season.

Come on let's have some good news about a couple of signings.

bwildered - give me more good news.

KVY would have been a great signing, perhaps he wanted League One football, everybody else seems to want that too.

I am incandescent, still bring on Ebbsfleet.

Owen Goodman signs on loan for season from Crystal Palace.
Ahain can't see the point as is younger than our own Ted Collins and to me it will stunt his development.
Starting to feel this has so far been a poor close season but still hoping we will brig in a couple of real positive additions to the squad.

What a potentially good signing….

1. Premier League Academy since age 9.

2. Current England U20 International goalkeeper!

3. Not getting the exposure he needs (at best) sitting on the bench at Palace.

Like Chay Cooper last season, sent out on a logical loan to “ man-up”. Could be an inspired signing and I predict more to follow.

Coached him at Palace too apparently, and he’s local to the south east. This one might actually have legs?

Remember when we signed Freddy’s Ears and wished we had acquired the rest of his head. I recall him only heading the ball once.

We need a proper striker, with head, two feet and ideally a bruiser. Tovide anybody? Think this could be the season he flourishes.

Good prediction noah. Tovide scored a hat-trick in a 3-2 win against Ebsfleet, in the first 60 minute game today.

In the second 60 minute game, we won 1-0 with a goal from Brad Ihionvien.

Not sure is we can afford Pilau Rice on our gates.

Premier League transfer values are now obscene.

Time to impose a windfall tax to fund pothole repairs?

MK Dons are running their eyes over experienced defender Tommy Smith.

The 33-year-old left Colchester United earlier this summer after three years in Essex and is currently a free agent. He has been training with Dons for the last couple of days, and played for 22 minutes in the 1-1 draw with Barnet at The Hive on Saturday.

Let us hope this week we can report some good news about a new striker and midfield player joining our club.

Defence and Goalkeepers sorted so players higher up the pitch must be garnered (no pun intended).

Living down here on the Moor Durham it was nice to see one of your 'targets' playing for Huddersfield against Liskeard yesterday.
We didn't miss much in my view!!
