I've not placed a bet since 2013, but I won approx £300 on a 50p Lucky 15. I usually had all 4 horses win at least once a year, but the returns never came close to this amount.
I'm sure that my accumulated stakes were far more than my winnings though!

Should have won £666 aces years back, 8 games both teams to score, had 15/16 and cashed out for £166, the final team scored almost immediately. In 2015 a young lad I worked with in Staines did. £1 22 game acca, pay out would have been £42000, he cashed out on £22000 with one game left which also came in, he was 18 and it was a fortune to him.

One of my best mates has only ever put on one bet in his life, because he was with his uncle who put a fiver on an accumilator, he thought he'd do the same and won a grand and a half.

I love an infeasible accumulator. I usually put a fiver on a 6 or 7 match accumulator - result and both teams to score. I think it was last April I was one goal from winning £50k. You’d never guess in a million years which team let me down.
You RRRsss! 🤪

Nice to see all those succesful bets and wins . I never bet on live sports or gamble in general but went to my second Casino last weekend and lost $200 in less that 30 minutes then sulked and waited outside until my group came out. What a fcuking rip off but it was made worse because every wan*er at machines deside was setting off bells and fcuking whistles winning free games while I was dying with every push of that button Dont smoke (thanks Ted) and dont play slots its a cash eating hole from hell that money slides in never to be seen again.Or maybe I am just a loser

I don't bet or particularly understand the odds in great detail, however, that cash out of 22k seems extremely generous as it's greater that 50%, yet your payout of 166 equates to approx 25%.
Am I missing something, because that's a major difference!
Last year when Ajax famously lost in the cup to an amateur team for the first time in their history: A friend of one of the players bet €15 that his mate would score and that they would beat Ajax. They won 3-2 with an injury time winner, his mate scored twice and he won more than €11.000

The last game was a banker up in Scotland if I remember correctly, think it ended up four or five nil. Young lad decided 22k at his age was a game changer and he didn’t have the edge to hold on ( don’t think I would have either)

I had a £20 acca on 7 or 8 teams for a payout of approx £900.
Every result was going for me in the 87th minute. Most by more than two or more goals so ignored the £350 cash out............ then Dykes scores for ten man QPR and the bet becomes history.
Last time I bet against us! I'm a knobhead!
Ill go with heart every time going forward!
Dont know why we bother. .... but we do!

Not had a bet for a while but remember my biggest win was around £350 and was a total fluke. Did my then usual of £20 on 3 or 4 home wins (think we may have formed part of the bet) and couldn’t understand why the odds were so good and if I won, I’d be getting so much, then realised I’d done BTTS and win by mistake. Luckily, it was fate and got my biggest ever win which I’ve never come close to repeating.

Last season I did a 50p lucky 15 each way on Arsenal, Leicester, Portsmouth, and Stockport to be champions of their leagues. Didn't quite hit the jackpot because Arsenal were runners up but still got the place and won about £260

Not big money but my favourite bet was putting £20 on Ireland to beat Italy at 5-1 in the US World Cup, a lot of money to me back then. The winnings kept me and my mates in beer for the rest of the tournament
The other one that sticks in the head was £1 on Darren Peacock to score first goal at 50-1 against Wimbledon at home. The big man did me proud
When I was first courting the future Mrs Queensparker I popped in a bookies in Brighton and won about £300 on an unfeasible 8 way accumulator, we blew the lot on a very nice meal and drinks that night. I think she thought she was onto a good thing, hasn’t happened again for 20 years

I went through the card at Royal Ascot once, netting a cool £6,600. We were getting married in the following April so it sorted the whole wedding. My then fiancée now wife was over the moon.
"What were the odds on that?" she asked
"66,000/1" I replied
"....how come you only won £6k????"
"I only put 10p on it"
"If you'd put a pound we'd have a house deposit! Why didn't you put more on?"
"Well....I didn't really think it was gonna win"
"WHY DID YOU PLACE IT THEN???"
And that's how one of the best moments of my life was ruined.

I cleaned up Cheltenham during lockdown cos I had loads of chained accas ante post at much bigger prices than they went off cos of the small fields due to covid (I usually break even on Thursday, I was up for the week by the 5th race). Withdraw £12k in profit on the Friday afternoon, but had nowhere to go so got some champagne and a KFC on uber eats.
Was totting everything up and noticed a few accas off by one leg cos Envoi Allen had tripped on the 3rd fence instead of winning at the canter I expected. Curiousity got the better of me so I tallied what I'd have won if he'd stood up.
I'd have walked off with a quarter of a million. I've never quite gotten over that lol

£1 to win 3-2 in the bookies at Brammal lane a while back. Collected £50
Also bet on us to lose 3-0 against Forest in a fa cup game at LR, again a while back. We were losing 3-0 then got a goal back in the last minute. My Dad thought I was bonkers.
