Three absolutely insane games I’ve watched this break, Ireland and both the Scots games. They’re a disaster of a team really, even in stoppage time against ten men Che Adams dribbled it towards the corner flag to waste time then blasts it off for a goal kick. May I suggest a throw in? You have selected GOAL KICK. But the chaos seems to work for them.
Don’t take Hanley though. I’ll play centre back, I’ve got Scottish grand parents, please, just don’t go to the World Cup with Hanley at CB.

What a game that was. I'm quite delirious. Did Scotland deserve to win? On football ability, no, but for sheer bloody minded, have a go effort, yes. And they scored 3 brilliant goals too. I feel proud of the lads.
Oh yeh, 15 sideways passes to preserve a 0-0 at Blackburn which in turn preserves 16th place in November, cannot wait.
Its a strange affliction following QPR Clive, as there are multiple on multiple occasions where reasons to end this disease are offered but like all of us, we stay going even though common sense and intelligent thinking says "STOP"
After watching these international games, i am expecting a Jimmy Dunne 25 yard last minute volley winner....
Really chuffed for Scotland. Not sure how such a limited side score three such fantastic goals, but who gives a fuc k. From 1-1 onwards that was a mad game. Never a sending-off, but after decades of sh ite luck, it's great to see Scotland finally get a bit of good luck with some of the games in this qualifying group. Pleased for Steve Clarke who has managed to get a fairly Championship squad to 3 tournaments now, which is some going. Grant Hanley at a WC would be mental.

I know he's Chelsea and seems pretty dour, but I've been really impressed by the way he gets on with things for Scotland. Respect him a lot for speaking out on West coast sectarianism, which isn't something you do if you're just after an easy life.

He’s got pretty consistently good results against odds throughout his career.
And, honestly, that squad is a head fck. You’ve got a handful of genuinely class players (Tierney, Doke, McTominay, McGinn), but they’re surrounded with players that genuinely wouldn’t get anywhere near the QPR team, and backed by a 43 year old keeper who can’t get in the Hearts team (and is still probably Scotland’s 6/7th best player).
Even the good ones are in their own head with past failures and pressure of playing for Scotland etc.
I watched the Greece game last week and it was like a fcking episode of Frasier where there’s a conversation going on in the kitchen manipulating what’s going on in the living room that everyone is part of but not. Then you have that tonight!
This bit of commentary is instructive. Any other nation the commentator is giving it “Kieran Tierney takes Scotland to the World Cup”. He’s scored an incredible goal, against ten men, deep in stoppage time. But instead the guy is all “to the verge” “could be the man” because he knows it’s Scotland, and it’s only about 4/1 Denmark still equalise because some long Schmeichel punt is allowed to accidentally bobble into the net for 3-3.
