I tell you one thing the club can do and that's refund those fans that travelled all that way to see that display.

At the risk of getting pelters and stating the obvious, Sport Republic aren't going anywhere

They bought an established Premier League club at a price that reflected that, the value of the club is nowhere near that now.
Add in the money they've wasted on dreadful recruitment of managers and players, selling up now would mean a huge loss.
You also have to add in the complications of being tied to a multi club model

If never ceases to amaze me the level of incompetence of these owners and the fact that they never learn from previous mistakes

Fail we may, sail we must

As Parsons said, the Premier League has changed massively since SR took us over and sadly we simply cannot compete on that stage now (yet other clubs can).

Would be nice if we could compete in the Chsmpionship though......

Yep its a sobering thought

Bypassed by powerhouses like Brentford and Bournemouth in the top league

Now getting schooled by Oxford and Millwall

Happy new year!

I'm not so sure we'll get past Doncaster in the cup next time out - not with these losers.

If I were the BBC, I'd get the TV cameras to the game pretty sharpish!

GET THE F*CK OUT OF THIS FOOTBALL CLUB SPORT REPUBLIC

These players stormed to numerous wins and it seemed as soon as the Tonda got the job it’s gone down hill.

It seems that these players are utter sh!ts. They wanted the yes man, easy going young manager to get the job. They got the previous one the sack, now taking it very easy under this manager.

We got a very good new manager bounce, as the first few teams we played under Eckert weren't prepared for his tactics of counterattacking down the flanks; they are now, and they are exploiting the spaces our wing-backs leave behind them.

The players are what they are: mediocre Championship players. We are especially weak in the most important positions: goalkeeper and centre forward. But, we also need better full-backs and a ball-winning central midfielder. Shea Charles' return might help a bit. Until he got injured, he was our most consistent player.

Quite honestly, our entire recruitment department needs replacing from top to bottom and so do most of our coaches.

We have to play McCarthy in goal now.

I've just seen all 4 goals, and that was fkng Sunday League defending (with all due respect to Sunday League players)
Embarrassing is the word
But we know fk is going to happen!

Definitely, and I didn't think I'd be saying that but it seems like Hobsons Choice! But what about this new wonderkid we've just signed? Can't be any worse

No, we don't. It's January: we need to buy a better goalkeeper or get one in on loan. We'll be spoilt for choice as most professional goalkeepers out there are better than him, including the 3rd choice goalkeepers at most Premier League clubs. We also, of course, need a better centre forward.

The spine of our team is one of the weakest in the Championship. With our resources, it shouldn't be difficult to improve if anybody involved in our recruitment department has a clue what he's doing.

Also known as the Saganowski effect

We needed to bring in an experienced manager in the summer, one with a big enough character and ego to deal with the mess he inherited and make the players aware that previous standards would not be tolerated
Unfortunately the owners were never going to do that, an experienced manager would probably be telling the board some uncomfortable home truths about how badly the club is being run and their processes were totally flawed
Instead we got a weak personality vacuum who the players had no respect for and now an inexperienced U21 coach and staff who has quickly been found out and looks totally lost

Agreed.
Just hope we can survive in the Championship this season.

I've had genital warts more amusing than that septic tank festival.

As for this Ben Garner bloke..he will get the shock of his life if (when) he is appointed interim manager if (when) we lose to the skates on the 25th.

A better bet might have been appointing Joel Garner...73 years old but provides a bit of height up front.

Dark times indeed.

George Long with a back four in front of him would be better.

George Long is an abysmal keeper, makes Joe Lumley look like Lev Yashin

I don't think Norwich could quite believe their luck when we took him on loan

I can understand playing 3 centre halves with wing backs if you're not conceding many goals, but we've shipped about 40? so far this season
